Elkton Outdoors Portable Insulated Ice Fishing Tent

I like to smoke cigars but during the winter months, it's too cold to sit on my deck until I came across this shelter. ⛄❄ With my outdoor heater and rug, the insulation keeps it warm and comfortable. 🔥♨️ It's easy to put up and down and very well made. My friends tease me and say it looks like a space pod or an igloo. 🛸 My husband calls it my lady cave. I had another shelter that was awkward to put up and not warm at all. I had to wear a hat, gloves and a scarf. 🧢🧤🧣 Wish I found this one sooner. It's on the expensive side but well worth the money. 💲💰 Very happy with my purchase. 😁😊 I would highly recommend. 👌👍💯

So for the price of this you cant beat it really in terms of comparing to one of those overpriced names. However there are 2 reasons it does not get 5 stars and a glowing review. First issue is once setup you cannot see out the windows without getting up and looking out as they set the windows too high. In addition to that the plastic coverings do not really fit well if the tent is out at its max to give you the most room. Even with oversized chairs and being 6 feet tall i still have to get up too see out any of the windows. The other issue happened at about the 2nd year i had this. The carrying strap broke so that there is only 1 now and i fear that will break too if i don't baby it and carry it in a sled. This is disappointing because sometimes i want to carry it vs tow in a sled. The sewing on the bag is really bad and i can see why it broke and why the other will break soon. Mind you i only go out maybe 6 times a year so this bag lasted about 8 trips before the strap gave way. Other than that i get a lot of people complimenting me on how much bigger and warmer it is than those other brands.

Don't buy this item if you have a lot of wind and need to secure the portable. Put it up and first time use one of the corner tie downs came right off. Grommets are poor, they pull out of the strap. When taking it out of the box for the first time looked like it was a used product. It had stains on the fabric. Would have sent it back but needed to use it for the weekend. For the price it definitely does not hold a candle to the Eskimo brand... Buyer be ware!!!

I set up the ice shelter for the second time today in a pretty stiff Wyoming wind. Held up nicely and we were very comfortable inside. However, when I went to put the shelter in its bag on my shoulder to carry it off the ice one of the backpack style straps broke. It appears the stitching is not the best. Very disappointed with the strap construction.

Great shelter. Easy to set up and very nice quality material! Love the number of vents and windows — and it is HUGE! Plenty of room to have lots of buddies along for the trip, or as we used it, ample space to set up a side for mom and baby to hang out on a tarp and blankets. You could literally fit a pack n’ play in this thing on one side, and still be left with room for 4-5 people to fish, still. It’s also tall enough for my husband, who is 6’4”, to stand up in (unlike our previous shelter). It’s even simply broken down and packed up. Love this thing.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. It keeps him warm and he doesn't have to stoop when he's inside (he's 6' tall).

Purchased for our son for Christmas gift, within 10 minutes of receiving he was outside assembling it. Took 3 seconds to assemble. He was outside in it for hours figuring where he would put everything. Since our weather is so warm this year there isn't any ice on our lake. So he put it back in the carrying case and walked around the neighborhood showing his friends.

It’s ok once you get it up it’s good but it’s hard to get up if your by yourself but when you get the hang of it it gets easier only on my first day. This is not the one I wanted my father in law wanted to go fishing and the one I wanted was sold out. But this one is ok let you know after Saturday when it’s going to be 7 degrees with a small heater. More to come..
