TheHonestBill PU Leather Flip/Folding Case/Cover/Stand for Apple Ipad Mini + screen protector film + stylus pen [in Retail Packaging] (Grey)

I did a lot of research on iPad Mini cases after making a few "mistakes" with cases on my full-sized iPad. I wanted a protective case, good looking for business, nothing over the screen (only around the edges) and functional for typing in meetings. It also had to stand up easily for viewing like almost all of thes folding cases. I was not interested in rotating cases for portrait views so that wasn't a consideration and this case isn't designed to be used in a portrait mode.I bought this case in addition to a Devicewear Ridge because it was so cheap, I figure I didn't have anything to lose. I had previously owned the full-sized version of the Ridge and rally liked it even though it seemed to bulk up the ipad.That being said, this case is very similar to the Skech case only 1/3rd less expensive! The major difference is that the corners are rounded (better to me) and the screen is completely clear of overlap. When folded, it feels like a thin book in your hands. It is stylish and noticeable, I have received many positive comments. All functions work great and I feel much better about carrying around my ipad mini.The case is substantial, yet it doesn't feel like it adds a great deal of weight or bulk. The front cover is a non-folding single piece which means it stays closed when carrying. The magnetic Smart Cover never lifts off the screen until you intentionally lift it, flawlessly activating the sleep/wake function. It really feels satisfyingly good in your hand and doesn't slip around, but isn't too "grippy".There is only one thing wish it could do: fold to provide a typing angle like so many other cases. That being said, the case folds down 'almost flat' and works adequately for typing. I wouldn't trade it's design to sacrifice its looks and function as is. My Devicewear Ridge is very similar and DOES fold to provide a typing surface. It costs over three times more than this case and I'm not entirely convinced that it is worth it. My previous experience with the Ridge is that the front cover lifts off the surface of the ipad more easily because the front cover folds to provide the typing angle and I've burned through an entire battery charge before I knew it. That won't happen with this case.I also have tried a very lightweight front/back plastic case that is like an Apple Smart Cover with a back. It is light - which i wanted - but It makes me nervous because it is so flimsy by comparison, so I will likely return that case.I like this case and the Ridge for many of the same reasons, but right now, this is my favorite. When you add in a screen protector AND a mini stylus, this is a fabulous deal! I bought my wife one for her ipad mini and she has replaced her Skech because this case looks and feels better. I can't recommend this case enough. You will not be disappointed!

UPDATE after 14 months of use: We've retired the case for mere aesthetic reasons...other than outside wear, it held up ok. It's been used daily by adults and kids under 5y. The outside material has formed heavy creases and started to crack along bends. The outer-edges have worn away, leaving a white under-material visible. Kids and fingers have made the inside (but not the outside!) of the case slightly stained from use... but that's normal.Over a year of use this case is still completely functional. Opens, closes and stands in directions still. Sleep/wake works great and the cover lays flat as a pancake (unlike some similar priced cases). The case still fits and holds the iPad mini well. <- No warping or extreme loosening of the plastic carriage that hold the iPad. I remove the iPad sometimes from the case and it always snaps right back in, holding well.I'd still buy it again and again! We tried a case besides TheHonestBill for the replacement for this and I'm not quite as happy. The lid doesn't lay quite as flat....*******We've tried three different cases with our iPad mini. This one is by far our favorite. It's build quality is great, and its simple design are both very functional and sturdy.Other cases haven't quite fit right or felt cheap where the magnets for the sleep function don't line up right, or don't sit right on top of the iPad so it keeps waking and sleeping as you handle the cases...... Not this case!!!!!! This case works great, fits great, looks great and was well well worth the tiny amount of money spent!I'd buy it again.

I happened upon one of these cases while visiting a friend, and I was super impressed that something so cheap could feel so solid. I've actually started ordering these in bulk, and re-covering them with my own embossed leather designs, and they come out fantastic.Anyway, the only problem I have with these is that the SIM card hole is mis-aligned by about a quarter-inch. Sucks, cause I actually do need to remove/swap my SIM fairly frequently, and I'd like to leave it in the case while I do.The first few cases I ordered weren't technically Retina-mini-compatible, but still the device would snap into place without trouble. But since then, they've started coming with the mic hole in the back of the plastic piece, and fit the retina mini just a tad easier.

Hard case, loved the color, good material and very durable, just as expected. I bought this for my daughters tablet (5 year old). Before buying this product she had another case designed for toddlers also another great product I bought from amazon. I have no regrets with this purchase. Very cheap price compared with the ones at stores and the mall. I love the fact that you can fold it and use it as a holder as well. I loved the leather material, very durable and also the color. They only thing it didn't last was the pen since my daughter chew off the rubber part to use it on the screen (our fault). This case is perfect for our use, very good product and you receive what you expect.

Pros:The case looks great and fits perfectly.It has black plastic protection on each corner for added protection.The stylus itself has a bit of weight to it and is of decent quality, much better than I expected.Cons(?):The screen protector is nice, but isn't exactly necessary considering the case does a good job at protecting the iPad's screen.The case itself is pretty rigid as a stand, so if you're looking for a case that offers plenty of viewing angles, this probably isn't your best bet.All-in-all I'm very happy with this case, especially considering the only cons I could think of weren't even that bad.
