perfect match for a discontinued product
We have a Westwood design Meadowdale in Madeira. These rails are a perfect color match for that set which has been discontinued. The rails were fast and easy to install, and the bed is very sturdy. I am very happy with the purchase.

Great Quality Conversion Kit
Great quality and everything included that you need to convert to a full size bed. These worked perfect with the Jonesport convertible crib in Virginia Cherry also.

We love our Westwood convertable... But...
Westwood makes a real nice convertible crib. The Crib to toddle to now child's bed is great and easy to assemble and we will cherish for years!BUT:Here is the flaw.. these rails are no very strong, even with the plats. The side rails are great match but only have a 1/2 x 1/2 board that the plats lay on and drill to which makes the attaching board week and I have had to re-glue back on and drill new holes and use better screws to reattach. Also I had to cut a 4x4 into 6 12" long pieces and reinforce the middle of the bed because the boards are made of low quality, glued together wood that bends and gives too much. One even looked like it was going to come apart after my 30lb boy was caught jumping on his bed.I would suggest and will be replacing the side support board with a 1x2 for better attaching and strength to the side rails and with the supporting 4x4's should have no more issues. I just wish the quality would of went into these like the cribs section, because this is the parts that will be used for years to grow.

Great bed rails for convertible crib
Love these, they were easy to install and are nice and heavy. This took my daughter from a toddler mattress to a full size. Love that it has optional slats so you can use just a mattress and not need box springs. My only complaint, and reason for 4 stars vs 5, is that the slats were a bit rough. But none of the mattresses these days are made to flip over anymore. So there went my worries about splinters. You could do a light sanding if the edges is you do have a mattress that needs to be flipped. Fast shipping too!

Wood Split
Westwood Design supposedly stopped manufacturing the Bedford Monterey set in cherry. We mistakenly waited too long to order the beds rails and hutch. We were told that the Stratton bed rails would essentially a universal match to all Westwood Design sets in cherry. However, the colorations was slightly different, but not enough to make a big deal about. The major problem is with the side rails. When we received the package the left bed rail was already split near the connection to the foot board. I don't know how long it will last before it actually breaks.

Mattress/box spring constantly slipping off rails and included slats too short
We loved our Westwood crib and bought the rails to convert into a bed about 3 weeks ago. Yeah it worked great for about a week. Then the slightest bit of weight would make the box spring slip off one rail and fall down, tipping the mattress. Then we have trouble getting it back up. It has no trouble slipping off but getting it back on requires effort. We're not supposed to need the slats with a box spring but looks like we'll have to try. Fortunately my son hasn't been hurt and prefers to sleep on the floor, but an adult even sitting on the bed now makes it fall. Annoyed that we spent so much money for something that doesn't function like it's supposed to.**UPDATE** I don't know why mine are so much worse than everyone else's but after trying to put the slats on, I discovered that 1. the wood screws that were supposed to be included were not and 2. the slats didn't even fit! They have pre-drilled holes but if you line up one set of holes with a rail, the other side doesn't even come close and is just barely hanging on. They're short by at least an inch. I called the company to report this and I'm about to go out to a hardware store to get some wood that actually fits.**SECOND UPDATE** after going back and forth with the manufacturer for a week about the various issues, they eventually tell me that I'll have to sort it out with Amazon. Horrible customer service. Will not be buying from them again.

Nice quality
A little pricey for what I wanted to spend, but quality is great. Perfect match to the set and now he has a big boy bed. :) Thanks.

Fits Waverly Set
Bought this set to replace the rails from a Waverly set. The color matches and the fit is good. My original rails busted where the metal bracket is located when too much weight was put on the bed. When installing this set, I reinforced them to the head and foot boards with an extra bracket from Lowe’s. So far so good. I will update this if I ever have a problem.
