BT 18-501 Wood Working & Carving Tool Storage Organizer Tool Roll Dyed Heavy Weight Cotton Canvas 24 Pocket (Olive Drab)

This tool roll measures 8 1/2" wide by 25" long unrolled. There are 24 pockets total, each 3 1/2" deep. Two pockets are 3 3/4" wide, one pocket is 2 3/4" wide, one pocket is 2" wide, one pocket is 1 1/2" wide, one pocket is 1 1/4" wide and the remaining 18 pockets are roughly 1 3/4" wide. The longest tool that could fit is about 8" long. A 1" diameter tool handle fits snugly in those 1 3/4" wide pockets.As far as canvas tool rolls go this one is not bad. The stitching is sturdy and neatly done. The tie straps are strong and effective, though I'd prefer something better like velcro. The canvas material is nothing pretty but decently durable. Just don't expect to be able to stick sharp tool edges into the pockets; Remember that this is canvas, not leather. If you want to put something like chisels in here then stick the tool -handles-, not the edges, into the pockets.This tool roll seems just about right to hold a set of small wood carving tools, which is exactly what I plan to do with it.

good value/ quality for the price.

The roll will NOT hold full sized chisels due to it being to narrow, and won’t hold palm tools because the pockets are to small.It’s perfectly sized for the smaller mid sized/intermediate chisels which have shorter blades and handles as well as most carving knives.I wish they eliminated a couple pockets so they could sew the remainder a little bit wider.
