Hawaii Coconut Syrup - 10 oz.

This syrup is divine. There just aren't words enough for me to describe the taste. Takes me to island in an instant. I made pancakes and topped them with some cut up bananas and this syrup and went back for seconds, and considered thirds. All that said, it is a very small bottle for the price, which I think is quite steep. I was able to make homemade that tasted exactly like this, for a third of the cost and the recipe made just as much, probably more. I am not saying this to discourage anyone from buying this, because it is an excellent product. If you are the least bit savvy in the kitchen you can make your own in a jiffy and save yourself the green. BUT, if you are not, then I would whole-heartedly say buy this syrup and make a double batch of pancakes because you are going to want to go back again and again. (You also might consider buying two bottles since you will empty this one right away!)

Hubs and I went to Hawaii for our fifth wedding anniversary, and I think we must have polished off a gallon of coconut syrup the week we were there. I have ordered several brands online since our return, but this is my favorite. In general, coconut syrup must be refrigerated after opening, and you have to take it out of the refrigerator twenty or thirty minutes ahead of time to allow the syrup to soften. Of course, more often than not, I would forget to take it out of the refrigerator, and the syrups just would not pour. This syrup maintains the perfect viscosity even when chilled. Also, it is delicious on our weekly Sunday morning pancakes.

We picked up some macadamia nut pancakes while we were in Hawaii but didn't think to get syrup too. Once we got home we realized our mistake and lucked out when we found this syrup online. It has a great taste to it and it is the perfect compliment to the pancakes. If you are looking for a touch of Hawaii for breakfast then you should give these a try. Wish it wasn't quite so expensive... but still worth it for a nice treat every now and then.

Its good. nice taste of coconut. sweet. good product though. may try macadamia pancake mix with it. its a little boring with plain buttermilk pancakes.

I just returned from Hawaii and fell in love with the coconut syrup they would serve at breakfast, hence my order. Close $20 for 10 oz is double what PURE maple syrup costs, but I figured it was worth it for a treat. Boy was I wrong. This syrup isn't worth 20 CENTS. It has very little is any coconut flavor, and has a sour bite to it like it's gone bad or rancid. Since I can't return it (amazon policy), I'm writing this review. In the description: "This Hawaii Coconut syrup is the same coconut syrup used in Hawaii's fine restaurants." I assure you it is NOT. 18 bucks down the tubes.

I love this syrup. I remember having it when we were in Hawaii. It is sooooo good. I wish it wasn't so expensive. That won't stop me from purchasing though. I finally saw this in a special store here but it was in a little tiny bottle about half the size as this one and it was very expensive so I'll continue to purchase through Amazon. Thank goodness no one else in my family likes coconut syrup but me. I get it all for myself and it lasts longer that way.

Taste was good but syrup was solid at the top of the bottle and then liquid on the bottom. (Looked like solid shortening). Seal was not completely sealed. We had to dig out the solid part to get the the syrup.

Never heard of this delicious Syrup until I started regular visits to the Hawaiian islands in 1984 where I had some waffles in a local Coffee Shop. They were served topped with sliced bananas and pecans. The Coconut Syrup was one of 3 on the table. I had never seen it available on the Mainland so I tried it and I fell in love with it. Whenever I want to recapture an essence of Hawaii I have some Pancakes or Waffles with only this Brand of Tasty and Affordable Syrup.
