As a child my parents happened to be friends with Carol Leigh and she was always someone who was driven and one that I looked up to for the colorful way she expressed herself. She is an awesome person who has fought hard for the rights of women and others no matter what. My thumbs up to her. This is a must read if you want an interesting and informative read about prostitution rights!

Though at times stylistically impish, a careful reading of this book brings into relief the life struggles of women across the globe who find themselves, for a variety of reasons, engaged in sex work. Though the author often finds herself at odds with feminist scholars, her eye is clearly focused on the well-being of her fellow travelers. Anyone who cares about the plight of women is well advised to read this book.
