Good to anti-bacterialize Wounds that are more than scrapes.
On the use for five or 10 minutes a day and don’t use for a long time. I think it is a type of bleach that does a great job of killing bacteria.

SOMETIMES OLD STUFF OUTWEIGHS NEW
Long story short: due to lack of knowledge re lymphedema I have stage III or IV depending on who rates it. I developed a stasis ulcer many many years ago that the docs focussed on despite my requests for L E treatment that would take the pressure off the ulcer so it would heal. With L E, the real life-threatening dangers are the infections that come with it (lymph fluid is perfect breeding ground for bacteria). So over the 15 yrs or so that I've had this ulcer I've had just about every antibiotic there is, oral and IV. Matter of fact I have a PICC line for over a year, with about 3 bouts of antibiotics and 2 oral. I have Pseudomonas all through the lymphatic system proven by cultures taken from every little drip of lymph all over my body. But in my ulcer I finally somehow got MRSA colonized. Here comes isolation gowns, limited contact with friends & fam etc. Every medical professional I asked, said it couldn't be cured...all we could do would be to reduce the colonization down. 2 IV rounds later no improvement. Stuff stronger would damage kidneys. Ulcer not improving. So, Dakins solution. Used in early part of 20th century to clean wounds before antibiotics became the "wonder drugs". We've used the dakins solely on the ulcer. The last culture came back with strong presence of Pseudomonas ...no mention at all of MRSA. NO MORE MRSA! I still have Pseudomonas as it is in lymphatics, but the stasis ulcer is clear of MRSA. Still antibiotic resistant, but this is good.

Works great. Smells nice and bleachy clean
Purchased this after the bottle that was sent home with me from the hospital ran out. Works great. Smells nice and bleachy clean. Keeping my alleged pseudomonas at bay while the last tiny bit of my wound heals up. We even soak my packing gauze with it and it doesn't hurt my wound or irritate my skin. Also it's the only thing that gets the barrier film from those wipes off my skin! Love this stuff. My home nurse says she wants to use it around her house to clean her counters! Lol!

Shipping takes a loooong time
product was exactly what was advertised. I'd give five stars but I needed this really badly and could not obtain it. Shipping took a long time. If you account for the long shipping/delivery times, it is exactly as advertised.
