Right on the money, works perfectly
I Have not tried any of the other brands however have done a lot of research about menstrual cups. I couldn't help thinking that ergonomically speaking, this looked exactly like everything else... I'm tired of spending so much money on landfill products and was also looking for something that would fit nicely in my 72 hour pack. I've had 4 kids (all c sections) purchased the large size per instructions. In a nutshell, this works like a charm. There is a learning curve involved any time you start using one of these cups and it definitely takes a little bit of practice. The first two or three times trying to remove it was kind of like giving birth, no joke. But once you figure it out and get the hang of it the cups do exactly what they say they do.I'm a fan.

Very glad I gave it a try!
I waited until after my 3rd cycle to review. There is a huge learning curve... I think the successful implementation of a menstral cup automatically qualifies the user for an honorary gynecological degree. One reviewer gave the tip of clenching your rear to aid removal - that saved me one morning when I didn't think I could get it out. It goes pretty far up there. Many reviewers talk about using a "C" shape to instert the cup. I've found that to be too difficult and use an "S" shape instead. My first couple of days of menstruation are apparently heavier than most as I have to rinse the cup at least 5 or six times throughout the day. The remaining days of my period are fine with the 12 hour schedule. In my opinion, the benefits definitely outweigh the drawbacks... No monthly products to buy... It's cleaner... And there's virtually no smell... Once you overcome the initial "grody" phase, it works like a charm. I actually feel empowered. Take *that* disposable sanitary products company! In regards to the product quality, I have nothing to compare it to, but it works. Some people mention cutting the nub off because it's irritating. I don't understand this and haven't altered the cup in any way. In regards to the product size... I'm in my late 30's, medium frame, with 3 vaginal births under my belt. Large it is. Large it must be.

Takes practice, but works great!
I've been wanting to try the menstrual cup for years, but never took the initiative. Let's start by saying that my flow is very irregular and unpredictable. Sometimes it's just spotting for a weeks, other times it's extremely heavy flow for just a couple days, or a combination of both. That being said, I use tampons and pads, depending on the flow... At first, I thought it a little unnecessary to have a set of two cups but that was a total lifesaver! I'd sanitize one right before taking the other out, that way there was no overlap of needing to wear tampons.I did a ton of research online and read lots of experiences of other women to get any tips and tricks. Here are my pros and cons:PROS-It can stay in for up to 12 hours, meaning I can change it in the morning before work, change it after work and SLEEP with it in... then start all over-Theoretically no leaking because it does hold a large amount of fluid (note, I said 'theoretically')-Comfortable fit-Saves money and the environment from not having to use and change tampons/pads every 4-8 hours-Goes in easily, once you can figure it out-It has little measuring lines on the cup, if you're like me and like to keep track of things like that-Easy to clean and sanitize-Reusable, medical-grade silicon is flexible and safe to useCONS-Takes a lot of practice to learn to put it in-It was really hard for me to take out-A little more time consuming than using pads/tampons because of the cleaning/sanitation process-The little stem was irritating my skin-Not good for anyone with a really heavy flow (rather, you'd still have to use liners/pads to catch spillage)-Requires really good hand hygiene, unless you want some weird infection "down below"My flow happened to be very heavy for the first few days, then a week of spotting. I leaked on the first 2 nights and had to wear overnight pads. (Apparently I bleed twice as much as the average woman on cycle). I had no issues with the cup once my flow got a bit lighter. One thing that went against all the reviews I read is that it sits low and the stem should be sticking out a bit. I've read stories of women cutting the stem off to avoid irritation. First, I must have a high cervix because this thing was pretty far in, and the stem was definitely not sticking out. Second, I wouldn't be able to get the thing out if I cut the stem off (this might be because my flow was heavy and I had leakage, leading to less grip). All in all, my first experience was great! I'm so glad I invested a whopping $20 for these and I'm excited to finally make the switch from tampons. I will still probably need my liners and overnights, just in case, but I was very pleased with these menstrual cups. Please note: these are my own personal opinions, not meant to generalize the experiences of anyone who has used the cups. I was not paid or compensated in any way for this review.

Great for first cup experience!!
I am very pleased with this product. I was able to figure out how to insert these cups correctly after three times. I don't have any leakage at all unless I just wait way to long to empty my cup. The stem was very irritating to my labia so I cut them all the way off. I haven't used a tampon in about two cycles now. Since then I am no longer experiencing horrible cramps and nausea. I do recommend applying a little lub to these on the lighter days to make things more comfortable. The taboo of changing these in a public restroom are nonsense. I simply use the cups small pink bag lined with a zip lock bag. After removing the cup I just empty it into the toilet. Then I clean the cup with a wipe and put into the zip lock bag. And I insert my clean cup and use another wipe to clean myself up. I think its keeps the rubbery odor out of these cups if you boil them everyday. But ladies give these a try before the more expensive brands!

I will never use a tampon again!
I've had a few people telling me about menstrual cups for a few years. I've used the disposable ones, which were ok but still needed a pad due to leakage. I finally decided to buy one, and let me tell you, I will never use a tampon again! You do have to get a little more intimate with yourself using the cup but once it is in it is amazing! I didn't even need to use a pad because after a couple days I realized there was NO leaking! I don't understand why no-one is advertising these! They are so much more environmentally friendly and so much less mess. Plus, you can wear then for 12 hours straight, on a heavy day!
