ASR Outdoor13.5" Collector's Hunting Knife with Animal Head Pommel

It's an okay knife, albeit cheap; but what would you expect for a $10-13 knife? I mean for the price it's a good deal.The handle is 100% plastic, as is the sheathe/cover of the blade. The knife itself holds very nicely, with the center of weight (see attached image) being just above/at the very top of the handle. As the product's description states, the blade is stainless steel, and has a decorate imprint on the side of it, the blade comes pre-sharpened, but it is not very sharp, so you'll need to sharpen it yourself if you intend to use it to actually hunt anything (I'd also recommend getting a new handle made for it, more on that later). I did some basic slash/stab test on cardboard, as I don't have very high expectations for this on it's regular stock-sharpening, I've found that trying to slash it doesn't do a thing to even cardboard, and moderate-force stabs will go straight through the cardboard with an average depth of 1-2.5 inches, with upperhand stabs being the more effective; which is why, if you intend to actually use it for hunting, I recommend you get it re-sharpened. I have two actual problems with this knife however, one is that the bottom of the knife (the wolf head) can be pulled right off, and is not secured onto the base of the plastic handle in any way (Luckily the upper piece is), meaning it can be pulled off or fall off by mistake with very little force. My other problem is that the inside of the handle is completely hollow, with no form of support inside, meaning if you're unlucky or not careful you can unintentionally smash the handle as it is made out of plastic.As for shipping, the product came on-time (I just completely forgot to write a review for it until about a month after I received it) and arrived in a rolled-up yellow shipping package, there was no damage to the packaging or the knife itself.tl;dr, it's a $12 knife, and as such you shouldn't expect a very high quality product, but at the same time it's very good given the price, for collectors or a display case I'd definitely recommend it, if you intend to use it for any other purpose though I'd definitely recommend you re-sharpen the blade, and either fill the handle, or have a new one made for it.

I purchased this knife for my Wiccan alter. At this low price I didn't expect much... I bought it for symbolism. Wow this knife is impressive! Sturdy, beautiful and much more than I hoped for. Great collectors piece - I'm very pleased with it!!
