No residue when removed from trim
I use it for taping off trim plastic and rubber while doing paint correction with a buffer. Most compounds stain plastic and rubber. Goes on well, stays on where it is, comes off with no residue. I never put it on paint so I don't know. But at the price I got it for it's way better than buying separate rolls of 233+ from detailing sites.Would buy again

This is the only tape I use to mask painted surfaces when spraying solvent based paints like base coat, clear coat. I've been able to leave this tape on painted surfaces for two weeks without any problems when removing it. It stays where you put it, it conforms beautifully, and comes off without pulling off paint or leaving any residue. No, I don't work for 3M, I just love this stuff.
