Perfect , buy it now
Great paced story with actual character depth. You get to grow attached to the characters and relate to them each in your own way. I’ve never been a huge fan of romance mangas or slice of life in general but I absolutely loved this series, and the first volume is no exception.

Cute Romance
Kaito always excelled at writing great characters that make great expressions. I am glad to see that is back for another manga that takes place in school. This is a fantastic setting and by breaking free of the school club chains that bound them from their previous series he can focus extensively on the best part of his writing, his believable characters, implied romances, and beautiful displays of friendship.Blue Flag volume 1 introduces us to the three or four main characters and how they interact with each other. The displays of friendship both the rekindled ones and the new ones are beautiful. I loved them and I loved how they deepened and broadened to the point that they became something intimate, personal, and perhaps romantic. It will be curious to see if we get love triangles or more as Toma’s crush seems to be hinted to be Taichi, and Taichi expressed attracting towards Futaba while Futaba is seeking Taichi’s help to get with Toma’s, and then we have the fourth character, who, perhaps may have a thing for Futaba? If that is the case, then getting this LGBT manga set in the boys demographic of Shueisha’s leanings with the typical features found in romance manga aimed towards girls is unique, progressive, and intriguing. Ultimately it feels different from the romance manga that we have with one male lead characters and three to seven girls that all love him and only him.Overall, I highly suggest this manga. The larger size is pretty good and the image quality seems better than its contemporaries. I do believe that is because the pages on the only platform from which this manga was serialized on allowed pages to be higher resolution than what regular Shonen Jump series that appear in the magazine in print appear. The manga could have had extras. The only extra we received was some cute omake and a few comments between chapters, but it was slim especially compared to other volume 1’s of series.

Crushing On Him
Blue Flag surprised me in the best possible way.✂️When Taichi Ichinose starts his third year in high school he finds himself in the same homeroom class as Futaba Kuze. For some reason Taichi really doesn't like Futaba. But, after a super awkward scene in a book store Taichi reluctantly agrees to help Futaba finally tell her crush her true feelings. But there's a problem, her crush is Toma, the school's super star athlete and he already has a crush on...someone else! Who is that someone else?✂️The character's emotions were palpable from the page. Toma, Taichi and Futaba's characters portrayed a nuanced mix of teenage angst paired with sadness and uncertainty. I immediately wanted to read the next in the series

This amazing story really affected me
It was most likely total projection but this series emotionally traumatized me. YMMV, for a lonely gay guy like myself this story hit me in weak points I didn’t even know I had. That’s a good and bad thing, and art affecting me on that level is usually going to get 5 stars from me.I bought the first volume on a whim and proceeded to read the series in less than a week. Thank god for fast delivery.

Amazing art and iinteresting characters
The cover was the first thing to get my attention, followed by the description. I took a different approach to this manga, normally I try to get more info, read a couple chapters, or see what people are saying about it before buying, but I just went in on this one. Honestly, I dont regret it. The art was really good, loved the character design and bits of humor thrown in it. The characters are uniquely themselves and given the right scenes I can't wait to see how they interact. That's what I'm looking for the most in volume two. My gay little heart is also wanting to see more Toma! I got the tissues ready, bring on volume 2.

First Time Reading Manga
I'd never read manga prior to buying Blue Flag. If you're looking to get into the genre, definitely consider buying this book! It's an easy read and the art is incredible. It took me about a month before I could purchase this book because it's nearly always out of stock. Snag a copy if you see it in stock while you can!

A really good manga but the adhesive stain ruined the look.
I had read the story sometime ago, and it turned out to be really good. And as such I wanted to buy the physical volumes. The product for most part was in good condition except for the stain from the adhesive on the back cover. The invoice was stuck on the back cover with a strong glue, and left residue as I scrapped it off. I don't like any stain to be left on my book (especially in case of illustrated books like mangas), the retailer or amazon should see into this and make sure that the invoices are not stuck on the book covers.
