A month of opening and closing my fence gate (perhaps 100 times thus far) without issue
The media could not be loaded. I wanted to wait a while before reviewing this because I was concerned about longevity from such a relatively inexpensive linear motor. But "so far, so good" ... and I'll update this review if/when it fails at a later date. (Whoops; see update below.)I'm using it to open a fairly heavy wooden "man gate" in my backyard fence, and it has plenty of power to do so. I teamed it up with a remote fwd/reverse controller ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSN27T1D ), which worked out perfectly.I'm a little suspicious of its IP54 claim, but we've had tons of rain here and it's holding up well. I may add a simple rain cover for it soon, for additional protection from above.Update: At the 9 week mark, my fence gate had swollen with rain so that it wouldn't close all the way. But the motor was trying its darndest to close it. I found the gate problem some days later, and the motor had burned out. No fault of the motor, but beware that it WILL burn out if you keep power applied for a long period of time without it being able to move to its STOP open or close positions.Update 2: I ordered a replacement, and once it arrived I installed it onto my fence -- and found that its CLOSE position was about 1/8" shorter than the first one. The drilled hole in the rod is in the same position relative to its end. The issue seems to be that the STOP limit switch adjustment is a little different between units. It would be great if there was access to adjust those open and close limit switches, but there is not. So I had to move over my fence bracket that 1/8" to compensate.

Not high speed, very quiet.
I got this to move 3 zombies on a cam pivot. I have not finished my assembly yet but tested it & seems to have plenty of power to do what I need. Not sure why this says high speed. I have a high speed actuator that moves 12 " in about 2.5 seconds. This one takes about 22 seconds to move the 12 " . Zombies don't move too fast, so this will work perfect. It's also very quiet when running, that's good since I don't want to hear the actuator over the sound of Zombies moaning.

12inch linear actuator
I have bought several of these for use as timed door openers…. They have all worked great with no problems…the oldest one I have is about four years old and still going strong.

High speed?!
While not "high speed" at 14mm/second still great for opening small gates or chicken coop doors... or lifting the entire chicken coop for that matter. Overkill? Sure, but if you're chick coops gets a flat you can jack it up using this guy. This thing is strong.
