Im blown away at how much value I received from this one book, I'm truly grateful to the author for taking the time to put it together. As an author myself, I can only imagine how much work it took to finish this project. It is truly an amazing piece of work.I recommend getting the downloadable version which is available at audible.com. I love the audible version because it allows you to take notes in the app as you listen to the audio program. The book is 450pages and the audio version is around 18hrs long. I read and listen to A LOT of professional and personal growth materials to keep myself at my best for my clients. I have both Earl Nightingales books and audio cc's - all recommended. Given a choice, I highly recommend this set of Earl Nightingale's audio discs - he used to be a radio personality as well and has a great voice. It's one of the few I repeatedly listen to - whether in the car or at home, his soothing voice is nice background and there's always a nugget/"aha" moment worth repeating.

I listened to the Audible version of this book on a long drive over the weekend. Great content. I ordered and recieved the book today. Great book. My ONLY complaint is the format they chose for publishing the book. The pages are wide and the paragraphs are all crammed together with no indentions. It makes it hard to read.

I have been an Earl Nightingale fan for many years mainly from listening to his audio tapes but also his early radio segments. The opportunity to purchase the Essence of Success arose and I snapped it up! The book covers all aspects of life that will help us develop into the person we want to be - if we are prepared to work at it! The key to success is "We become what we think about" - in other words if we think negative thoughts we will get negative results yet if we think positive thoughts we will get positive results! - A great book well written covering all aspects of personal development!

This is a great self-help book to add to your collection. The concepts are unique.

This collection of Earl Nightingale audios is the most comprehensive I've seen, and, like the book of the same title, is "must hear" information for success and personal achievement. I count Earl Nightingale and Brian Tracy as two of the most important influences on my core philosophy of work ethic and contribution, of doing worthwhile things with one's life, and this set of audios is critically important. Wish I'd had it 20 years ago.Be sure to get the 20-cd set of these, either via here or at nightingale dot com, for best quality. Superior recordings and timeless philosophy, very instructional and well-developed, an anthology of Earl's top recordings not available anywhere else.-Ken

This book is a classic for good reason. Advice is still timely and relevant sixty-some years after it was published.

The wit and wisdom of Earl Nightingale cannot be praised too highly! When ever I am in need of an attitude adjustment in my life I pull out which ever CD of this collection that meets my need at the time. I feel so fortunate he chose to record his thoughts and ideas even in a time when it probably was not considered popular. Worth every penny I spent on it.

To compliment the book, I also have the audio version. If you are not familiar with the concept of self-development book, let me tell you that Earl Nightingale is arguably "the Daddy" of them all. Every chapter or sub-chapter can be read and re-read at any time so you don't have to go page after page. You can read about how to improve your public speaking skills, attitude or even goal-setting, it's all in there. Obviously, the audio doesn't follow the book step by step however listening to it while commuting reinforces your beliefs. This is one of the best buy in my library!

All you will ever need to be successful in life and business. To be read slowly, notes made and carefully studied.I found the unusually wide format made it difficult to read as I had to move my head from side to side. An excellent self improvement book.
