Wardley Pond Fish Food Flakes with Whole Shrimp - 6 oz

My goldfish absolutely love this fish food, as well as the turtle who has decided to take up residence in my pond. Other brands I have used they eat, but not like they attack this stuff (so I gave flavor 5 stars). The price is great too, so I don't mind the large amount the turtle eats! The pellets are about 1/8 inch, so most all my fish (most are 2-8 inches) can easily eat them. when there are babies around, I just crush a few for them. They float for a good amount of time and if I don't crush them the smaller fish can just nibble on the softened ones that have been floating awhile. My fish are beautiful and vibrant color-wise and appear to be healthy so I'd say this is a great food for comets and shubunkins.

This fish food reminds me of the Blue Ridge I normally feed. The fish seem to like it - so I'd say flavor is good. I did not taste it myself, though. I don't think I'd have the same opinion as the fish. You can't beat the price!The only thing I'd like to see offered is a bag with varied size pellets, since I have two new (small) koi that would benefit from smaller chunks. But this will work at the end of summer. I wish the zipper on the bag was heftier so that I felt confident the bag was sealed shut. Will move it to a different container for freshness/safety.Otherwise, I'm going to be buying Wardley from here out!

I purchased the pond food to feed my goldfish in my pond. The goldfish I purchased were sold as feeder fish several years ago and they have grown and bred so now they range in size from one inch to 6 inches. I didn't want to put down a lot of money on koi when I wasn't sure I could make them work. Now, they are so big and pretty, I'm just not going to bother with koi instead. I had been purchasing pellets and flakes through the local pet store, but it was expensive to keep up buying the smaller sizes all summer. I thought I would try one big bag instead. This bag cost about the same amount as one of the smaller canisters I bought at the pet store, and it equals about four canisters worth!. It comes in a re-sealable bag. I happened to have two old canisters still (one flakes and one pellets), so I just refilled them with the fish food from the bag and still have 1/2 a bag left. I was concerned the pellets would be too large for some of my little guys, but they are actually about 1/2 the size you get at the 'fish food' machines, where you put a quarter in to feed the fish at ponds and zoos. Another example would be they are the size of a small bead, or oat (but not flat). The pellets smell exactly like the Tetra brand fish food I've been feeding them in the past. I haven't tried a taste test (nor will I), but my fish seem to love it. I've been feeding it to the fish for about three weeks now and so far have seen no adverse affects. They were previously healthy and continue to be healthy and colorful and maybe even growing. The fish eat them well and I will definitely purchase again.

I bought this pellet food for my koi. After I started feeding him this, both him and the comet that started eating this food got really big. The pellets do float at the top of the water and do not get into a mushy consistency unless they have been floating there for a while and the fish do not eat it. I did have guppies in the tank also, so what ended up happening is that when the food got to a softer consistency, I never did see it since the guppies would then go and eat the food. For the price of the pellets and seeing that my fish did grow from feeding them this, I would purchase this product again. When I was feeding the flakes to the fish, they would flap all over the place since the flakes to the bottom of the tank. The tank would then get cloudy from all the flakes floating around. With the pellets, that effect does not happen and the fish are able to come up and get the food that they want.

Used to purchase this at Walmart before the pandemic. They stopped carrying it and now this is the only place I can find it.My pond fish love it.

I am so glad I ordered this large size bag. The same quality as the small size containers for so much less price! Perfect size for our 4-6 inch length gold fish. They float for a while, giving the fish plenty of time to consume before sinking down.

The fish can’t wait til I come by each day to share. They seem to be growing and not having a problem eating the food.

I've been looking for a pellet fish food that works for small goldfish all the way to koi. I finally found it and at an amazing price of $8 for a 5lb bag. I have 40 goldfish and koi in my pond and they all gobble it up. It doesn't mess up the water clarity and it works for all my fish. The 5lb bag will last you a year or two since the bag is resealable.

It’s what I expected - fish food. A bit expensive given it’s just fish food pellets. Not sure if my fish like it. Ever time I ask them, they swim away. Will edit my feedback once I get a definitive answer from them.

I've been using these pellets for two years in my pond and my goldfish are all very healthy.
