Ingenious product
This is precisely what I needed, but had no idea they made such a product until I saw one advertised used. It is perfect for what I need. I can pull it behind my ATV or my lawn tractor. It is great for maneuverability because of its smaller size it can fit through a stall door. The only thing I'd change is I wish it had taller sides, but I am certain my carpenter husband can fashion taller sides so it cuts down on the number of trips I have to make. It breaks up big chunks of horse manure without any issues. No flinging the manure and wondering where it will land, it lays a nice path of solid waste where you drive. I had problems with the lever not disengaging, but I think it was because the tires were chewed almost to the rim by the previous owners horse. I think the rock/bumping of the flat-sided wheels are creating the bump into gear and will be cured once my new replacement wheels come. I have to say, it is an ideal design. Highly recommend. The agitator works to move the manure into the drop and the drum sends it through the holes and the open crack allows smaller pieces of straw or bedding to drop through. Is it 100 %? probably not, if you try to run too much straw/bedding through I image it could get gummed up. Same with really fresh manure, but mine has a few days to dry and it works great, so far.

Very unhappy
A $300 mistake Be warned that the spreader does not grind up manure as fine as it appears. Ours has already fallen apart and hardware is missing and cant be found the company will replace it but I am afraid that this will be an ongong problem. Be aware before you buy this there is a 15% restocking fee plus you will be out your original shipping cost as well as the cost of returning it. In our case that amounts to over $300.

Very Well Made And Highly Functional
Easily assembled. Amazingly good at its job! We load it with manure and hitch it to our little John Deere mower and drive over the pasture as fast as we can go so as to maximize coverage. A full load will be spread within one minute. This spreader is extremely well made and does its job beautifully. Love it!

Great Product!
This is a very nice, quality product. It was fairly easy to assemble. It is exactly what we needed for a two stall barn. Much to my surprise it arrived much quicker than it was supposed to. Thank you Newer Spreader!!

Manure spreader is fabulous!
Small and mighty! I have a John Deere Buck (2005) with a dump bed. I fill the spreader along with the dump bed in the Buck. When ithe spreader empties, I dump the contents of the dump bed into the spreader and continue on. The spreader is very maneuverable and works well, leaving a fine layer of organic material. This helps hold the moisture in to the grass or shrubbery as well as it puts nutrients back into the soil. My small ranch couldn't do without it now. It is a great way to manage the output from 3 horses.

You sometimes have to unclog if much hay or straw involved
PROS: I love the light weight and ease of use. Bought in 2004 and am just now needing to replace it. For me, a two horse owner, it's just right. Sits in the aisle of the barn, so can wheel it to each stall to clean them. Wheel it by hand outside and hitch to our Gator to empty, though the first summer, I pulled it by hand as I emptied it as I didn't have anything to pull it with. I empty it on my horse riding trail because it shreds things fine enough to make a good footing. I'm buying another today, after the first one lasting one day short of 15 yrs finally decided it was done!Cons - sometimes, too much hay will get clogged around the agitator, but the pros of light weight and easy for a not strong woman to manipulate make the hay aggravation something I am willing to tolerate. I've had very few problems, but did have to have one of the little tire levers, which make the agitator turn, fixed about 5 yrs ago. I would give it 5 stars, if the hay problem never happened.

Tough little spreader
Got the spreader in just a few days instead of a week. I had read it was difficult to build but I had it built in no time. Instructions are easy to follow. Started using it right away and it spreads so simply. I know we will be using this for many years.
