You have to have an hourglass figure to wear this shirt. I usually wear a 1X and sometimes 2X depending on the style, but after reading reviews of this shirt I ordered a 3X due to it being described as more fitted. I was concerned it would be too big, but I can't get it buttoned. The sleeves and shoulders fit really generously, too roomy in fact, but the cut is really, really slender through the torso. So unless you have a supernaturally narrow waist and flat stomach for your size, it won't fit. I do like the material and construction, and the length of sleeve is good with a unique cuff. Maybe I'll lose weight some day and be able to wear it. Quite disappointed, though, because I really wanted a crisp black Oxford-style shirt for my wardrobe and would have never expected a 3X to be too small.

This shirt is mostly cotton; however, it came out of the dryer with minimal wrinkles. The sizing is true to normal US standards - I typically wear a Medium and the Medium was perfect. It has a sturdy feel to it so I'm thinking it will last and not fall apart after a few washings. I looked for a long time for a nice button down shirt and this is it.

Considered ordering a size up due to other reviews that said the blouse runs small. Went with my gut, however, and ordered my actual size, a Small. I'm glad I did. It was true to fit. I am 5/7'', 127 pounds, and 32D. Nice shape and material. Sleeves were long enough. Perfect for my professional position. I initially ordered the black and navy. Liked them so much that I ordered the other 3 colors. Will have to do another review once I put them through the wash, but I do plan to hang them to dry and not put them in the dryer.

This shirt is perfect for wearing under a suit jacket. Fitted and a little snug. If you are planning to wear it without a suit jacket or blazer, though, I'd recommend going up a size.

I love the shirt, it is just way too small for the size I ordered. The fabric is good and the styling really sharp. I am sad that it doesn’t fit and there is no larger size. I ordered a size larger than I wear also.

I bought this shirt for work. It looks great! I love that it’s taylored to fit and gives me a nice waistline. I look professional with a pair of dress pants but casual with a pair of jeans. Very versatile. Just what I was looking for in a shirt.

First I ordered one size up, based on reviews, and it was still too small after washing, so I ordered another 2 sizes up. It fits after washing.However, with both shirts the material wrinkles badly. Spray-on wrinkle releasers sprayed did not work. Steaming the shirts did not work. I haven't yet pulled out my iron to see if ironing works. Will report back.

I did not expect this shirt to look and fit as well as it does. The fabric has a slight sheen which makes the shirt look more high-end. I will purchase more of Pier 17 button down shirts. I am certainly pleased with it.
