UPDATE: Upgraded 3 to 5 stars after receiving the medium sized set. The fit is much more appropriate, as described below. I wanted to give them some time and wear before updating, based on the quality issues described in some of the other reviews, and after wearing for a few occasions, several hours each, I can say I have not had any of those issues. No signs of rust or tearing. While there seems to be a wide range of quality based on reviews, the pair I received has been perfect.-------------As far as quality goes, these braces are great. The fastener customization is interesting as well, including button-in, suspender snaps, and loop clips. I can’t see myself using anything but button-in, but for those looking to change things up, there are custom pieces to allow this. If you have pants without interior buttons, this set also includes some nice buttons with a sewing kit.My only warning about this set is the fit. I ordered the large based on the recommended size per height in the description. I am 6’4”, slender build, and the large was too long for a proper fit. I compared these to a set of braces I have set at an appropriate length, which laid out measure 42 inches button hole to button hole. This set laid out at the shortest belt hole setting measure at 45 inches button hole to button hole. The difference of 3 inches for a set of braces is huge, especially due to the make of this set, as with elastic on only the posterior aspect they do not fit snuggly. Also, at the shortest setting the top ends hang well past the buckle, which looks quite redundant and detracts from the look. I have returned the large set and reordered a medium, will update when they arrive.

The straps are leather, however the button area is almost plastic and not durable. I purchased these for my wedding and they barely lasted through the ceremony. Sadly the broken area is in the front and shown in most of my wedding photos. My wedding was at the end of June, 4 days outside of my return window because I purchased them at the end of May to be prepared. I will not purchase these again. If you’re wanting to wear them for extended time periods, more than a couple hours, I would advise against these.

I bought the Medium size Brown pair a few months prior to my wedding to make sure I got the fit right. I'm a trim and Sm/Md 5'9 guy, and I've used the last and second-to-last holes (otherwise could be seen as a teeny bit long). I did wear them with a grey t-shirt around the house in case the leather "bled" but they didn't. The suspenders didn't budge the entire wedding day, and once I revealed the suspenders after dinner, guests were actually upset I didn't take my jacket off sooner! These were honestly a classy look that received huge compliments. Even my sweaty perfect-white dress shirt didn't have a lick of brown after the wedding (outdoor summer wedding, danced like Jagger all night). The leather was/is good quality, especially compared next to any other suspenders I've bought online. There are 3 options for fastening, and I've used all 3 depending on the pants (different loop locations on different pairs). I even took the time to sew on buttons to my wedding suit-pants (for that classic look) and the leather straps looked and maintained amazing. I used the metal lobster clasps and alligator clasp for other weddings and they do just fine. Sorry for the ones this hasn't worked for (some previous commenters), I've been happy with these rockstar suspenders.

They are solid, functional, and diverse (with all the additional attachments that are included)My only concern was after wearing them for a bit, marks started to appear on my white shirt from the suspenders.It wasn’t very bad, and they came out. But it was a little troubling at the time.Especially because I had to wear them for another 6 hours.Overall, they’re fun, well-made, capable, and I will wear them with darker shirts if I’m going to be in it for a long time.

My husband has a bit of a belly, and belts just don't work. Most suspenders are either really dressy with buttons clasps, or workers suspenders with clasps. These are the perfect in between. They look great with any type of pants and are super easy to attach. We purchased another pair because they are awesome!

Purchased for my husband to wear with his great Gatsby costume for Halloween. Arrived fast and in perfect shape. We watched several videos to figure out the correct sewing to attach these to his dress pants. worth all the sewing. The suspenders made his outfit and he was a hit at the party.

I'm 5'6 and weigh 250 medium is perfect... Should have done this long time ago!!

Much nicer and much more options arrived than I had expected.Luckily I owned a leather punch because they were far from my size to start with. But they are the nicest suspenders I have owned.
