Turkey Trick or Treat (Turkey Trouble)
S**A
Sure to delight and amuse parents and little tricksters
Just like kids this time of year, the farmyard animals are all yearning for Halloween candy but no one will give them any. All the animals look to Turkey for a solution because of his past successes with costumes. Using the human Trick or Treaters as their inspiration, the animals offer one suggestion after another to Turkey who tries them all. The illustrations come in great here because you can see that Turkey does his best to act the part as well as wear his cobbled together costumes. We see him leaping like a Swan-Lake-worthy dancer as he lands on the farmer's doorstep with a tutu of chrysanthemums, prima ballerina's aloof expression, and his candy basket out. Each time a member of the farmer's family refuses him with some pun like "ho-ho-no" to his pirate costume. But Turkey is crafty and finds a way, of course! A great book for school or library storytimes and sure to be a family favorite.

Funny, witty, clever, and hilarious new Halloween book
This book is so funny! The story line is adorable. All the farm animals want to trick-or-treat just like the kids because they LOVE treats too, but can't quite figure out a way to get their hands on the sweets. In a series of dress-ups and clever ideas, they fail to trick the adults into giving them candy... that is, until they decide to go to their neigh-neigh-neighbors (who happens to have bad eyes). Alas, the costume is so good that she..... okay, I won't ruin the ending for you. Trust me, though, you won't be disappointed. The illustrations are adorable and the facial expressions on the animals are spot on (and so expressive). What a sweet new Halloween book and JUST IN TIME! I'd give it more stars if I could. :-)

Turkey Trick or Treat Is Definitely a TREAT!
All of the Turkey books are wonderful, and this one is no exception! Wendi Silvano keeps children interested with her silly and fun story of Turkey trying to disguise himself as a Trick-or-Treater to get candy, while Lee Harper's illustrations bring Turkey and his friends to life. This author/illustrator combo never disappoints. My four-year-old (as well as my ten and eleven year old kids, although they would be reluctant to admit it) loves this book, and so do I!

Cute story
Such a cute book! It’s one of my now 3 year old’s favorite books even though it’s well past Halloween.

Kids loved it.
Our kids love all of the inventive ways Turkey comes up with to hide the fact that he is a turkey. They also love to say,’Almost!’ at the appropriate point in the story.
