Vintage Tone Alnico 5 Humbucker Pickups Set for Les Paul Style Electric Guitar, Chrome

Picups sound not good sound cheap high treble shirl not worth 50 ducks save your money stay away crappy picups..

Cleaned up the sound alot. Sounds great on the clean channel but can still get dirty if thats what you are looking for. Wilknson has always gave good quality for the money.

Almost all of my guitar builds are high-end, using only proven quality parts. After much consideration, and reading other reviews, I purchased these Wilkinsons and installed them in a budget Epiphone Les Paul Special VE. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and powerful these $50 pick-ups sound. They seem well worth the bargain price for an Alnico 5 magnet humbucker. Both pickups measured out as advertised, 7.6 K for the neck, and 14.04 K for the bridge. I set them up for coil splitting (see my Fleor review) and the result was the hum-free, true sound I was seeking. I will probably consider using Wilkinson pickups again. But note, here I used the Alnico magnet model. I can not attest to the cheaper model employing ceramic magnics.

Got these to upgrade the cheap microphonic pickups in new Firefly Flying V. These have a ground hum on clean sounds...and everything is installed correctly. The bridge is shrill sounding and neck is ok. Together they sound muddy. Not much of an upgrade. I think the originals sounded better. Im not gonna bother taking them back out to return.

Five star quality for a reasonable cost. I put these on a very nice SG copy (Firefly) and am very please with the result. The tone quality of these far exceeds the cost of this set. I've used some high dollar hum-bucker replacement sets over the years and this Wilkinson set matches up in tone, output, and finish quality with the best of them. Highly recommended.

Had a budget, starter guitar kit that I modified and assembled...sounded ok for my first electric. Just upgraded to these pups and made a huge difference in the sound on my LP style guitar.Had to make a few mods to the pickup cavity, as they were deeper than the old ones, but since i built the guitar, I was ok doing that. Wiring was simple too

I had hoped that the tone would be better. They are decent pickups, but I don’t think i am really getting that vintage PAF sound

I installed these pickups in an ESP LTD Viper-10, a very inexpensive guitar that had marginal pickups. Wow, what a difference these Wilkinsons made. The clarity and tonal range increased tremendously. Now, the guitar is very usable and the pickups sound great.
