USMLE Step 1 Qbook

This is a good "initial" qbank for anyone preparing for usmle step 1. The quality of questions are really good. All the questions are organized in subject-wise fashion instead of being system-wise. This is a bit contradictory to other qbanks. This book is probably more useful to students who started their preparation with Kaplan lecture notes, especially before they start an other online qbank.Major drawbacks of this book are its price and absolute lack of images. This book is way too expensive for what it delivers. There are no image questions, no arrow questions. There is a huge potential for wonderful flowcharts and pictures, but this book contains none of them. The USMLE exam is becoming more multimedia based exam, with increasing images, sounds and even video clips. This book only serves as an introduction into the type of questions you might see in the exam, being useful for students in the initial phase of their preparation. This book is not at all useful for anyone in the intermediate or final stages of their preparation.

I've completed 2 tests and have found many mistakes. It's as if the questions were reworked at some point but the correct answers weren't changed in the question discussion section. For reference: Physio test 1, Question 4 sites C as the answer but then describes A as the correct answer. Also, Pharm test 1, Question 26 asks which medication is most appropriate, then in the discussion switches it to which is the worst choice. You really can't trust these questions.
