I love this tool, whether it's Pecan Tassies - roll the dough in a ball, drop in petite muffin tin, use the narrow end and press down - perfectly formed dough every time, great for tarts, or any confection where you need a cup to put a filling in. For Mini Cheesecakes, I put a spoonful of crumbs in the muffin lined paper cups, press down and presto - a perfect bottom crust. Pure Magic.

This works great when I make my pecan tassies, it's so much easier than putting the dough in the pan and shaping them.

Although the product photo shows the handle disassembled for cleaning, mine came glued together. You can actually see where a drop of glue has seeped out and dried. Don't try to force it or it may break. The description describes that it's made of "crude" wood. The wood is "raw" and unfinished/unseasoned. It's the assembly that's crude.

I typically make mini tart shells so people can try a few tarts for dessert. I wanted to make tarts that would be an individual serving and this worked perfectly. Really well made.
