Easy ready and clear practical ideas for improving teacher practice. Also, recommends great additional reading. A must-read for anyone training or coaching teachers.

Great book.

This book spends most of its pages on "how to get people to use video", and almost nothing on actual, actionable ways to learn from video and improve teaching.From memory, the actual, on topic contents:1. Watch video more than once.2. Watch students more than teacher3. Pick something to improve4. Set a goal5. Make changes to move toward that goal6. Repeat7. Watch with others people. Discuss.8. Watch other people teach the same materialThere are a few other things that are specific to teaching academic subjects in high school, which seems to be the unstated focus of the book.Many, many references linked. Most do not have any indication of quality or usefulness, so links to hundreds of items is probably less useful than a few references that come with better descriptions and evaluations. Lots of links to the author's other books.

Buy this if you have any desire to accelerate your professional development. Essential reading for video coaches.
