Ordered for shelf hangs. It turned out better looking than I planned. The leather is so durable and strong. Just 3 foot pieces on each side are easily holding 20lbs of weight here. We drilled small holes an inch in from each end and hung them on hooks! I highly recommend for anyone looking for great shelf hanging with style. And oh it smells SO good!

I should have read the product description more carefully--my bad! The top layer is leather (very pretty leather, at that), but the backing looks like a fiber product. See photo. I'm using the straps for casual knitting bags, so I don't really mind the more rustic appearance. Pros: The color is just what I wanted, and the leather was easy to cut with ordinary sewing scissors. I easily punched holes with a leather punch. Cons: The strapping is a bit stretchy which won't matter for carrying around yarn, but it you want a product to support something heavy, this is not your best choice.

This strap was exactly what I needed to make my dog leash :) its not too bulky but thick enough to have strength while walking the dog. It was able to be worked nicely and was very supple. Its price is great though if you had your own and a strap cutter you could do this yourself for a fraction of the price. If you dont have that then this strap is great!

Beautiful leather strap. I purchased the 1.5 and it was spot on. I used tokonole to finish the back of it. Used it for a leather purse I was making and it was perfect. Would buy again!

Pretty good strap, strong enough to be used as a dog leash for a 7lb puppy, stretchier than nylon leash so you don't get yank around when the puppy pulls suddenly. fairly easy to get dirty, need a lot of oil/wax to make it water resistant/stain resistant, the edge is pretty sharp so either smooth it out or wrap it in some lining if you intend to use it as dog leash otherwise probably will get rope burn/cut your hands

Used for a suspended shelf... perfect size !
