Purchased this for my husband who is an avid model builder and he loved this book. Did not put it down for days and now uses it for reference when building models. Would recommend this to anyone who is building models and needs ideas or reference points.

Excellent layout and chapters of the book from start to finish. Give a great chronology of the drag racing kits and the stories / variations behind them. Lots of excellent resources for the casual or advanced modeler.

I love this book for reference, and the enjoyment of just looking at and reading it. I wish though that there would be be more info on color of plastic' and other changes on kit reissues. This is an area lacking "straight across the board" in collector circles in my opinion. Beautiful captivating book and pictures. A must have for collectors of vintage Car Model Kits.

This book has been a great resource to us since we have acquired a lot of the Model kit tooling mentioned in the book. I would recommend this book to all drag cars fans. A real gem!

Just finished reading the whole book. Great information for seeking out kits of your favorite drivers and vehicles. I have been using it to research kits for kitbashing Funny Car chassis into various bodies.

Tim Boyd has written about models for decades. He knows the subject inside out. Laid out logically by categories. Worth the price!

If you're a fan of Drag Racing & enjoy scale modelling, then this book is an excellent reference. Each kit covered has a review & also a useful guide as to how rare & desirable it would be.

Quantity/quality average.Book arrived in a plastic bag with no protection.Had several creases, bent corners so condition poor for the price.

This book should be titled differently, it's NOT exclusively about muscle cars but the model car industry in general... I've been involved in model car modelling since the late 50's which is when the American model car industry started in earnest. A truly good read not to be missed because of the misnomer title.

This is an absolute must have if you are even remotely interested in the hobby. Loaded with color photos of the subject kits and well researched and written. I have been a longtime fan of anything Tim Boyd does. Like his writing style and love his insight and knowledge. I like his model building style as well. He might even be a nice guy to !! My only concern is the binding on the book. I am sure i am going to ruin it with the repeated openings. I should by another to keep on the shelf and in pristine shape. Buy this book while you can

Wow, this book clears a lot of mystery to me about US auto scale models. I thought most of the muscle car kits came 40-50 years ago. The book explains that most or the best kits came way after the real muscle car mania faded away. Highly recommemded reference.
