Michel Mercier Sparkle Detangling Brush Blue - For Thick Hair

I just got mine in the mail and used it right away. I have a nightmare of thick and wavy hair, and spent most of last night tossing and turning. Basically, it looked like one of those kitchen scratch pads in a lovely shade of auburn in the back. This brush got that mess out in no time, with just a little tugging and pulling. While it's in no way "pain free," it's a huge step forward. Whoever designed this brush, (Mr. Mercier?) deserves a high five... or a fist bump... or whatever the kids are doing these days.

I really like this brush and have ordered several. It gets the tangles out great. It is an attractive brush as well. Just be sure when you go to wash it to turn it bristle side down to dry as there are tiny holes where the bristles are that will collect water inside the brush. If not for this it would be a better product. I always make sure all water is out before using. A little worried about potential mold inside the brush. As I said before I have bought several in each color and each color is for a different thickness of hair. Not sure I will buy anymore because of the water issue but they really do get the tangles out and I will use them until I deem that the water issue has molded the inside of the brush. My oldest one which is pink [ had it about a year ] started smelling of mold so I trashed it. Guess I will do the same with the others...

My daughters begged for this brush so I finally gave in and ordered it because brushing their hair has always been painful. When it came in, my girls were thrilled and definitely said it didn’t hurt as much. However, I soon found out why it didn’t hurt as much - it wasn’t getting the tangles out! After a few days using this brush exclusively, some small tangles never went away and became big tangles that took a lot of time for me to get out. The bristles are too short, they bend easily, and the brush eventually came apart and I had to figure out how to put it back together without destroying all the bristles on the brush - we got it together after cutting several bristles that just wouldn’t go back into place because they were so bent. Skip this brush. I gave it to stars because it did deliver on the fact that it is pain free - but the brush itself is useless.

This is a great brush for kids with long think hair. My 6 year old has very long very thick wavy hair and would cry every time I would brush her hair. This brush has cut down on the tangles in her hair and doesn't seem to get stuck and pull as bad as a regular hair brush. I didn't think it was going to make a difference but she was begging me to buy this brush so for about $15 I thought it was worth a try. To my surprise it works very well, a lot less crying. The only thing I don't like about it is the handle, its a weird shape and is a clear plastic. I feel like if I drop this brush the plastic will crack, I wish the design of the handle was more sturdy... So we are just careful with it.

This thing ROCKS! I bought this for my daugter, she HATES to brush her hair and I can't blame her...she has very thin hair and tends to get a snarly birds nest in the back that is painful to brush out. Even if my wife would assist with a tortureous brushing before school, by the time she got home she had snarls galore. Poor kid, I decided to try this (you have NO idea how many detangling brushes, sprays etc. I have tried in the past) and IT WORKED! Like a charm! She even LIKES to brush her hair now! Her older sister put one on her birthday list ha ha. I told her I would just buy her one, along with a few more to keep around.

I like it so much I bought a second one. I have one for home and one for my boyfriends home. My only pet pieve is how big it is. I wouldn't exactly like to carry it in my purse. I have curly thin hair. Other comes pull and tear my hear. You can even hear it tearing. This come goes right through really nicely. Once I go though it with this comb I then use my brush. My brush then doesn't tear anymore or have any problems. I don't have all that hair in my comb anymore like I used to from my hair being torn out. I am really happy with this brush.

Wow, this thing is amazing! I have super curly hair and it is thin so it gets tangled very easily. When I try to brush it out it gets frizzy and poofy and I look like a crazy lion. Not with this brush though! It goes through my hair effortlessly and leaves it smooth, not frizzy, and looking great. I have also noticed a reduction of split ends and breakage. I have tried other detangling brushes and have hated them, the plastic hurt my scalp and they did not go through the tangles- but this is true to its name!

She liked the brush cuz she has thin hair and she gets knots easily. I accidentally dropped from vanity and it broke, I really don't know if she has dropped it or not. I couldn't believe it broke so easily. Right in half and I had to throw it away. To hard to brush hair without the back to it. She liked it but to me it seems cheap if you drop it and it breaks so easily. I also tried to put it back together but it would not go back together unless you tape it or glue it maybe.
