Easy to Read
Easy installation. We mounted it to be able to see the rain gauge from our kitchen window. Our previous gauge you had to go outside to see an accurate measurement.

Screws are steel & a bit short for soft wood.
There's a very small lip around the opening that should limit the melting snow from getting inside and skewing the results much. The scale on the collection pot is easy to read with a cell phone camera from inside the house. The red float takes the meniscus out of the reading.

Waterfall rain gauge
Product is easy to install and the numbers are large enough to see from a distance. The red measure did not float as shown in picture.

I love how easy to read even in a big yard. Out of all the others we have used, this is my favorite

Pretty dang nifty!
With the addition of the Waterfall rain gauge, I now have four different types of gauges all hung around the same 4x4 post. I take an average of all four and i feel I get an accurate reading.

Had to buy screws
I didn't realize this had to be screwed in to the fence. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known that. It needs to be more clear in the description. However, that is not why I only gave this 3 stars. The main thing that irked me is that the screws that come with it aren't stainless. It only cost me 32 cents to buy the screws, and my time to take them to the hardware store to get the same size, but who sells a rain gauge with screws that will rust?!
