Afterburn VHS

Afterburner is a good movie, it is one of the few stories / documentaries that cover what happened to Ted Harduvel and the fallout from it. This is surprising being that this case set a legal precedent.It is an HBO film from 1992 with a bit of corny material, especially in the beginning. Once you get passed it your free to a good movie. Don’t let that part stop you from watching it. I wish HBO Max would have this available or Prime.

This is an awesome movie. As a military spouse myself, I really found myself siding with her and realizing that I would create just as big of a stink as she did. What really bothers me is that the Air Force is still trying to silence their pilots today with the F-22. That's what they tried to do with Capt. Harduval in the early 80's. They tried to hush the wives who also complained. This movie shows the journey of how she stood her ground and sued the defense contractor who built the F-16. In the movie, she won several million dollars. But they say that she had to wait to see the money. We never find out. But someone needs to do something about the Pentagon covering things up, using our spouses to keep quiet. Excellent movie!

I was in the Air Force at the time and remember events like this..

I saw this movie years ago and loved it. This is about a young couple the husband fly military planes for a living and dies flying one. The plane that he flies has been know for chafing of the wires and causes the plane to fly upside down and crash. The wife is very out spoken and really doesn't care what people think of her. She lets them know it also. The military tries put the blame on her husband and she fights to clear is name. She is amazing at how she gets all the info to prove that the plane is faulty and not her husband.

Saw this movie years ago on Lifetime. Been looking for it to be on VHS for years never found it. Then saw that it was on DVD. Got it!

The movie, AfterBurn is a story about a man who knew his flying capabilities. He was the best of the best. When Ted Harduval's F-16 Jet went down, General Dynamics ensured that it was "Pilot Error". His wife, Janet begins a non stop mission to clear his name. She finds a lawyer to take on General Dynamics, like no one has ever done, and wins. I recommend this movie to everyone.

Good movie. Good acting. Story about a woman whose husband is in the military and lost his life in a plane crash which she finds suspicious. Against the odds, she investigates so that she will be able to find peace with his death. This movie is based on a true story and although it is sad, it is heartwarming because of the love that was shared between the husband and the wife. Good movie to watch if you need a good cry and/or need to be reminded of what really matters in your daily life.

Not Laura Dern's best performance, but it is a very compelling true story.

This is one of the best movies based on actual events of all time. The Soundtrack is truly motivating. It will tug at your heart strings and you will end up feeling for the victims of what was a US Military cover up. A problem on an advanced aircraft with a solution that could so simple and cheap but the cost is immeasurable.
