Tasty tidbit. Three stars because it is organic, but it is made with a small amount of aubergine and soya, no nuts, so is certainly overpriced.

Wonderful depth of flavour that adds much to many recipes. Product impossible to buy in North Norfolk which is such a shame as the addition of this to many recipes is now a must. Flavour is subtle but adds hiddens depths to ordinary ingredients.

Mmm, this is delicious! It’s my go-to pesto at the moment (and my favourite from this brand!). It’s not a hot sauce but it’s packed with flavour and you can really taste the grilled mixed peppers - both red and yellow so it’s mild and sweet (would’ve tasted very different had it just been red pepper). Wonderfully versatile and great for pasta, gnocchi, quinoa etc - as well as on toast with veggies for a quick lunch. Yum.N o t e : Ingredients shown on the product page are incorrect. These are the actual ingredients on my jar label: grilled red pepper 27.3%, red pepper 27%, sunflower oil, grilled yellow pepper 9%, potato flake, basil, extra virgin olive oil, salt, black pepper, black pepper, smoked paprika powder, acidity regulator: E270 .

The description of this basil pesto states "This basil pesto is made with simple, natural ingredients, including organic basil, pine nuts, and extra virgin olive oil."The reality is somewhat different: the main oil is sunflower, the main nuts are cashews and for some bizarre reason (presumably cost) it's bulked out with potatoes and tofu. They didn't put that in the description!There is no cheese. Unlike a nice rich pesto this is a greeny-yellow colour. It has a somewhat grainy texture.If your mantra is organic at all costs then fill your boots, but it's really quite nasty.

Thought I would try this out as a quick alternative to my usual Pesto sauce. I was pleasantly surprised. Full flavoured and delicious.
