Squeaky Clean With A Subtle Cinnamon Flavor - Goodbye Overpowering "Fresh Mint", Hello "Clean Mouth - Just Fresh Breath"
Pros:- Subtle flavor and smell - No overpowering "mint" aftertaste- Makes your teeth feel very clean- Bottle lasts a long time (looks small though)- Helps with gum healthCons:- Can be messy to use- If you like "foamy" toothpaste, this one has little foam action. Can make people think it's not working.- Bottle looks very small (but lasts a while)I bought this for the first time after reading about neem and about tooth powder for better mouth health. Also, I hate the taste of mint after brushing and wanted something that would make it so I could just brush and NOT have to "think mint" for an hour after. If I was running late and grabbed coffee on the way out the door right after brushing I would end up with mint coffee - yuck! (I'm the girl who uses Cinnamon Altoids instead of the mint ones :) )It can be messy. When I first tried it I got the powder everywhere. I still do get a bit in the sink after all these years, it's just the nature of dumping powder on a small toothbrush head, but you get better with it over time. Just know that with even spilling a bit everyday the bottle will last a long time. There is little foaming action, so sometimes you might feel like you don't have enough on your brush. Give up on the bubbles telling you you are cleaning your teeth. You have to rely on the powder to do it's job without giving you all the foamy feedback you normally expect. I still feel like that sometimes, just try remember to use the right amount of powder on your brush and brush your teeth like you always do normally. When you are done your teeth will feel squeaky clean and you will know it is working like it should and you used the right amount. After using it for a month or so my son came into my bathroom looking for toothpaste after he ran out. He thought cinnamon sounded gross, but tried it so he could brush with something. That was the last time he used minty toothpaste again (he was 10 or so?). He loves the powder, he said his orange juice at school didn't taste gross anymore, and that his teeth feel squeaky. Good enough for me.My mouth feels clean when I use it, and my dentist says my gums are "looking good" so I assume the powder is doing it's job as it should. I love that my mouth just smells "clean" and not "winter fresh" after brushing, too. Makes it actually easier for me to brush without the strong taste, and the cinnamon is just enough to taste nice, without tasting overpowering and gross.Overall, I really think this tooth powder is fabulous, but it really is a personal preference. Some people need the foaming action to really feel like they are cleaning their mouth, others want a strong mint taste to have that "just brushed" taste/smell. If are switching from toothpaste, and looking for something better and willing to give it a try, I think you will like this tooth powder a lot. If you are already on the "tooth powder wagon" I think you will love the way this one cleans and how subtle it tastes (making it easy to use). Either way, if you are here looking at this review you are probably ready to try something new and I think you will be very happy with this one and it's worth giving it a go.

THIS STUFF IS GREAT.
I have serious plaque and gum issues - I go for cleanings every other month, and I'm STILL in the chair for an hour each time. (By contrast, hubs goes twice a year and they're done with him in 30 minutes.)Tried many, MANY different ways of dealing with it over the years. Came here to buy a different tooth powder with cinnamon in it; it just seems logical that the grit of a powder would help the toothbrush bristles get the plaque off. But just before I hit "proceed to checkout," I saw this product in the "people also bought" sectionI am familiar with neem and its array of medicinal uses, but I had not heard of its use in toothpaste or mouthwash. I'm also aware of its somewhat unpleasant odor/taste, but in reading reviews, I found one written by a buyer who addressed that issue, claiming he couldn't taste the neem because the cinnamon flavor overcame it. So I decided to give it a try. It's only been two days, but I love this stuff. My teeth feel like I just got out of the dentist's chair; the taste is great (if you like cinnamon); it's easy to use - I found some powder goes down the sink if I try to "squirt" it onto my brush using the nozzle tip, so I put the powder into a small cup, wet my brush and dip it in, and tap off the excess. I also dampen a proxabrush and dip it to clean between my teeth. Then I add a little water to any powder that's left in the cup and swish it around before spitting it out and rinsing.Dental care is mostly about consistency. I like this product so well that I think I will use it consistently. Hoping for a shorter cleaning session next month.

Better (and healthier) than commercial toothpaste
Discussing the pros/cons of having fluoride in your toothpaste is outside the scope of this review (and my evidence-based health experiments). When traveling to Europe, I've noticed the locals' teeth aren't as "perfect" as Americans' teeth are. Conventional wisdom says fluoride makes our teeth better but I think that would only apply to cavity prevention, not the alignment/structure of teeth. I'd appreciate comments from dentists to help explain this?Back to the product - it doesn't foam like you'd expect toothpaste to. Other than that, this stuff cleans much more thoroughly...and a small bottle goes a LONG way. Fresh neem branches were used in traditional (prior to British influence) Indian culture to scrape plaque off teeth. Neem is a potent anti-microbial plant/oil and I'm assuming the powder form in this bottle has a similar effect. After 6 months of use (along with the technique described below), I had my first ever check-up where the dentist said he had absolutely nothing to report, other than "keep doing whatever you're doing" :)Besides this powder, I've also been trying the Ayurvedic practice of "oil pulling" 2-3x weekly the first thing in the morning (before eating or even brushing my teeth). You can pick and choose your base oil (coconut, sesame, flaxseed, etc) and maybe 2-3 drops of a strong anti-microbial oil (wild oregano, Thieves, etc) and "chew the oil" for at least 5 minutes. Do NOT swallow!! This oil has pulled all the gunk between your teeth and under your gums that even flossing can't reach. Spit it out and rinse several times.
