Pretty much the only halfway decent cover for this model phone
Otter doesn't make anything for this make and model phone. This was the best I could find. Not a hard shell case, but fits well, makes the phone easier to hold on to, and at least offers some protection.

Sides of case: too short to reach screen, so offers it NO screen protection
Bought this case in May 2021 for ZTE Avid 579 purchased new at Target in April 2021. Sides of case are too short to reach, much less wrap onto, the edges of screen, thus providing NO protection in case of straight-down, screen-down impact. Maybe the phone's specs have changed and the case's manufacturer is selling old stock, since many users liked this case: note the high number of "5" reviews. Maybe Target was selling older models and the case is built to newer specs. Either way, it doesn't fit. BTW, fit at the charging port is poor enough that it's a struggle to get the charger to insert fully. Finding an uncharged phone in the morning is an unhappy way of learning this.

Case covers buttons
The case covers the buttons on the side of the phone. It does have button-like designed casing for those parts, but still, it makes the buttons very difficult to push.

Good product for the money
I acquired a ZTE Avid 579 as part of my move to Consumer Cellular, but I quickly found you can't find protective cases for them over the counter. Enter Amazon. I found one in minutes and had it ordered and at my home in two days via Prime. Good service for a good product. It fits fine great as described in the ad, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it.One heads up - it will soften the sounds of your control buttons but does not alter their effectiveness.

Great Product at Great Price
Case is thin flexible rubber that protects your phone but doesn't hang up on your pocket when you pull it out.

POOR QUALITY WON'T PROTECT PHONE
Standard silicone case. Will offer no support of your phone is dropped. Doesn't even stay on the phone. It's crappy. Just find something else.
