Ideal as a flat, smooth surface for illustrators, painters, designers and those who love to paint and draw outdoors, We sell a number of these for those attending Art courses and to colleges / schools.These are of a much higher quality then the cheap (but still seemingly expensive) MDF type that you see for sale. They will last for years to come, remember, if you buy cheap then you tend to end up buying twice! The sizes are A2 / A3 / A4 / A5 or we can supply the boards with approximately 1" extra on each edge, this is to allow you to be able to stretch a standard size piece of paper on the board and allows you to have space to stick it down with masking tape.Thickness – 9mm Size – A2 / A3 / A4 / A5 // A3 + 1" / A4 + 1" / A5 + 1" Product Origin – European Birch Plywood Grade – B/BB (Stamps/Knots are possible on BB side however these will be sanded smooth. Not suitable for water colour painting
Not suitable for water colour unless pre treated against water penetration. The board arrived slightly warped and without any warning about pre treating with varnish. I used the board for a water colour and it was ruined as all the grain raised where it had become wet. I returned it for a full refund. The board was good quality otherwise and would be very good for drawing and sketching.

Superb for artist / designer drawing surface
I bought this primarily to have a smooth drawing surface for A2 paper or smaller, and although it costed me 30 GBP (roughly) definitely recommended. When you want to work professional you need good tools. The width is preety good, this board won't break easily or anytime soon too. Link saved, will buy in the future if I need again, highly recommended.

Nice finish but warped.
The size is okay, very smooth finish but I have discovered it is slightly warped, doesn't lie flat, I can live with that. I do think it isn't worth the asking price, but that's my opinion. It isn't likely that I would buy another.

So smooth
Purchased as an artist board, this is perfect, the surface is so smooth with all the edges nicely rounded. It’s a lovely solid piece of plywood. Granted it’s more expensive than some but there’s nothing flimsy about it.

Excellent product
Ordered after midday on Friday and arrived Saturday a.m. (sent 24 hour tracked Royal Mail even though I was expecting 48 hour and came directly from the Natural Workshop), so very efficient processing and delivery from the company. Got the A4 + 1 inch board and it’s ideal for drawing - strong & sturdy without being too heavy. Good finish with slightly rounded corners and very smooth finish. Would definitely recommend.
