Alcott Reading Glasses

I absolutely love the glasses!!! Great quality of lens, light and comfortable frame with a great design. I always bought the cheap reading glasses and I couldn't believe the difference in quality once I tried them on!! Quick delivery time! Great product. I don't think I'll ever buy those $5 glasses again.

This review is for the EasyEye Black frame, 1.50 magnification readers. First off, these are NOT bifocals. The product description made it seem like they were and no where in the ordering was there a bifocal option. I can only compare these readers to other readers because I don't wear prescription glasses.The glasses arrived in a small shipping box and inside were the glasses wrapped in bubble wrap. The bubble wrap wasn't even a sleeve, just a square cut piece of wrap. There was no case or paper insert, just the glasses and bubble wrap. For a top-of-the-line priced reader, I was expecting a case or even a plastic bag. There was a small black sticker that said 1.5 stuck on the lens. There wasn't even a tag on them. Even some of the dollar store readers have cases!Then I tried the EasyEye glasses on and WOW, they really were clear. Of course I can only compare them to Costco's 4 pack of readers, but the Costco readers are excellent and long lasting. How much clearer? Maybe 10% clearer, but still I didn't think this amount of improvement was possible. The 1.5 magnification seemed spot on.Unfortunately the frames are very small. They don't fit my head. As a 5'11 normally sized dude, these frames must bend outward to fit around my ears. I know from experience with small sunglasses that the plastic in the frames will eventually fail from the stress of the bend. The frames do flex very nicely so it's not uncomfortable to wear for an hour, but then I notice that it hurts to put them back on. Also the small frames mean that it feels like tunnel vision wearing these compared to other readers. There is a reason most readers come in men's or women's frames.These are full height frames, so without bifocals, I have to take them off to see anything distant. Also, due to the thick frame and full height, I am unable to tip my head down and try to peer out over the top of the frame.The purpose of style escapes me, but I somehow they seem stylish, but I have yet to wear them around the fashionable women in my life. So the style jury is still out.Pros:- Very very clear. Truly remarkable.- Fairly stylish.Cons:- Crappy packaging (a piece of used bubble wrap).- No case.- No instructions or inserts or even tags.- Not bifocal. Frankly this is very misleading and Amazon and EasyEye should be ashamed of themselves.- Frames were too small for a man.- Lens were not wide enough for a man's readers.- Way overpriced as readers.Conclusion: I would not have purchased these if I had tried them on in a store. But, I hope that Amazon and EasyEye will fix the bait and switch bifocal description. If the EasyEyes ever come in a man's size and if they will actually have bifocals, I would be willing to purchase another pain. This is a real shame because the performance of the lens is remarkable.

These readers are so comfortable! I love the color choices, the compliments I get, and... when my friends ask where they can get them! I definitely give them a "thumb's up!"

I purchased the Alcott reader in tortoiseshell and it is very cute! I have been getting a lot of compliments while wearing them. Also, the quality of both the frame and lenses is fantastic compared to other readers I have purchased in the past. The price can't be beat either!

I am 100% satisfied with these readers! The lenses provide a clarity I didn't think was possible for this price point. The red frame looks classy as well.
