I have 3A/3B curls and have always battled frizz - plopping, microfiber towels, air-drying, diffusing with curl cream and mousse - nothing fully worked, especially near my roots. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the frizz under control.After reading more about gel casts in curly hair routines, I decided to give this a shot based on recommendations, and I'm so glad I did. One try was all it took to see a difference. I used it over a small amount of curl cream and let it form a cast, then scrunched it out once dry. My roots were smooth, my curls looked defined and soft, and there was no crunch or stiffness left behind.The bottle is big, smells fresh, and for the price? Actually a steal. Highly recommend to anyone struggling with frizz, especially at the roots.

As always the best gel. The staying power is strong. It can get crunchy but a little hair oil relaxes the crunch. Good staying power. I wear a bonnet to bed and can refresh the gel by spritzing with a little water in the morning and a couple of scruches and its just like new.

This gel is going to create a tight look on male hair if medium length. It does not flake and is perfect mixed with Brylceam for a shiny conditioned yet very firm hold. Highly recommended. Use sparingly or you can end up looking like a puppet doll.

This is a pretty good gel for holding things in place. I use it in my curly hair routine, although my hair does not like heavy products in it, so I only use a pea-sized amount. I do this when my hair is almost halfway done drying. It holds my hair well and makes it nice and shiny, but usually doesn't last long into the second day after washing. This gel would be great for curlier hair types or for hairstyles that need to stay still. It smells a little bit of alcohol, but dries quickly. I have noticed that when I would use too much of the gel, my hands would feel greasy after touching or stroking my hair. Be sure to use the right amount for your hair type! It was very cheap and a very good deal for the size of this bottle, it will last me a while. Overall, not bad!

I used to use this back in highschool when I had very long hair. My hair is wavy/curly. I had forgotten about it because, as we all do, I moved on to so-called "higher end products". This stuff works just as well as it used to. Smells great. Crunchy at first if you air dry your curls but once your hair is dry just flip and scrunch a little and it softens right up. We haven't hit the hot, humid part of our southern summer yet so we'll see how it works then. 🤞For the price and amount you get I'm sold. So happy someone reminded me about this gel!

I have used this for years. I have very fine hair and this product gives the fullness and body that I don't ave naturally.

If you have curls and live in or visit a humid climate…then this is your stuff! Provides an excellent gel cast that locks in curls and keeps frizzing at bay. Also provides up to 3-4 days worth of good curls for me. I don’t completely “scrunch” out, only praying hands with a gloss over them and lightly scrunch. After that, hair is not crunchy. Old school stuff, but it works!!! Don’t know if “curly” girl approved, but don’t care, because it works.
