Bought this as an experiment to try with the Nikon 50mm 1.8 S lens for the Z mount. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance as I got up to 0.5 magnification on the sensor, checked by photographing a ruler. So for mild macro work it is fine. The only caveat is that you need to be fairly close to the subject, a few inches. So less sensible for live creatures who will buzz off when you get near. All functions of the lens worked transparently.

I it used at my Seven artisan lens 50mm f-95 that it is quite heavy. Preliminarily Ok ! Lens adaptors are always a risk.I hope it will last.

Ich habe ein Konica Hexanon AR 135mm f/3.2 und das ist der erste Adapter an Nikon Z, den ich dafür finden konnte.Funktional ist der Adapter für mich absolut OK, da gibts erstmal nichts zu meckern. Der Preis (81 EUR in meinem Fall) ist in meinen Augen allerdings etwas hoch (fast Novoflex-Niveau) und die Verarbeitungsqualität wird dem nicht ganz gerecht. Der Adapter hat einen abschraubbaren Stativ-Anschluss und dieser ist so grobschlächtig verarbeitet, dass man meinen könnte, ein deutlich billigeres Teil gekauft zu haben.Damit versprüht der Adapte den Charm eines Billig-Teils obwohl der Preis mehr erwarten lässt.Was ich bei dieser Art Adapter auch immer etwas mit Vorsicht betrachte ist, dass das kameraseitige Bajonett offensichtlich direkt aus dem Tubus-Material herausgefräst wurde. Das heißt, es besteht natürlich nicht aus Messing (wie so ziemlich jedes Objektiv-Bajonett) sondern aus Aluminium. Und da es das gleiche Aluminium wie der Tubus sein muss, gehe ich davon aus, dass es auch kein speziell ausgewähltes Alumunium ist sondern eher nur ein günstiges.Letzteres ist aber mehr Spekulation als Wissen.Nichts desto trotz, der Adapter funktioniert. Ich schwanke zwischen 3 und 4 Sternen.

I purchased this for my Nikon Z6.My only Z mount prime is the 50mm 1.8, and it doesn't play well with this macro extension tube. I have maybe an inch of usable space in front of the lens.With the 14-30mm f/4 and this extension tube, the focal point is actually inside the front element, so this combination is not usable at all.With the 24-70mm f/4 zoomed into 70mm, this gives a bit of usable space, but an f/4 lens with a 35mm extension tube means a lot of your light is getting eaten before it can make an image. You will need a tripod and proper light setup.Unless you have the Z mount 85mm 1.8, (or a longer lens, when Nikon eventually released some), you may be better off with a 12mm or 24mm macro extension tube.The good news is that this is a smart tube.All the information from the lens passes though into your camera body, and auto focus still works just fine (if a tad more slowly at extreme close distances)
