K&H Pet Products EZ Mount Window Pod Kitty Sill Tan 27 X 20 Inches

The media could not be loaded.  My kitties LOVE this. It reminds me of the little Japanese hotel pods. One thing I’ve learned with cats is to give things time. If your kitty does not get in it right away, let them work up to it (amazon gives you 30 days to return). I initially purchased this for our french doors that look out to the patio. Unfortunately, I did not measure and the width did not work. I put it up in my bedroom and my cats did not seem interested. I figured this might be due to the height and small ledge. I put some stuff under the window to help them get out and my smaller girl got in it. My boy cat is usually pretty bossy and claims everything, so I was pleasantly surprised that he did not get in. However, about a week later I found his plump butt in it as well. They both share it and enjoy watching the birds. My suggestion is to measure your windows and follow the instructions they send you. You have to boil the suction cups first for adequate suction. Follow what they say and you should not have any issues. Also consider putting something underneath to help them get in and out. Over time I was able to remove everything and they can maneuver it easily now. One thing to keep in mind is the window you choose to put this in you will not be able to completely shut the blinds. This was a little annoying since I had it in my bedroom (best view for birds), but I was able to angle my blinds to feel comfortable at night. Would make a purfect gift for your pets at Christmas or for a friends pet.

I can't say anything bad about this product, but I can't say anything good, either, because I can't use it. The problem was 100% my own fault, this is just an urgent reminder to seriously measure your window! My bedroom window is really big and I didn't think about it at all. Problem is, it slides sideweays, so there is no possible way this will ever fit! The suction cups are the things that stick out the farthest, so there's not even a fraction of an inch of allowance--a micron under 27" of smooth glass and you'll be out of luck. Again, nothing against the product, it does clearly state it's 27" and I didn't measure, it's just too bad I'll just never be able to test it out or use it. Prepping for a sad return because I was so looking forward to using this with my kitty who loves to sit in that windowsill. Gave 4 stars because it does look great, everything appears good, I just can't actually confirm for myself that it works.

We live on the 11th story of a highrise, and our younger cat loves to look out the windows. When we mounted an inexpensive shelf-type perch on the living room window, it quickly became Azazel's favorite daytime hangout spot (when not following us around). We ordered the K&H Window Pod for Azazel's first birthday, with plans to mount in the bedroom within climbing distance from the cat condo. My first impression upon unboxing was of high-quality construction; this is something that should last a cat's lifetime, at least. It looks good, too. The removable pad is covered with a wool-like texture, so we wrapped it in a towel to avoid any temptation to shred and/or ingest it. Unfortunately, Azazel completely ignored the thing for months, in spite of us introducing it numerous times... until seemingly out of nowhere, it became her favorite place to relax.Azazel is a petite 9.5 lb Russian Blue—a rescue, thank you—and the Window Pod is a perfect fit. With her paws and tail tucked in, she fits completely inside (she usually sleeps with her head or feet hanging from either end). While cats tend to seek out small enclosed spaces, this product may be too small for many. The suction cups are super powerful, allowing our little demon to jump on top and attack the blinds, but our 22 lb Maine Coon mix would very likely tear it from the window. Thankfully he's usually uninterested in heights, and too clumsy to get anywhere when he tries. If your cat fits, and if you're willing to take a gamble on whether they'll take a liking to it within the Prime return window, I can't recommend it enough.

This is my 3rd K&H window bed & I couldn't be happier. The first two were the open bed style. I gave them to my mom's cats after getting this one. One was over 6 years old & still holding up! The suction cups work very well, I just followed the instructions before installing.Occasionally a suction cup will loosen after time, but the others hold so tight that I don't worry about it falling. I've had 2 cats sit together (25 lbs.), no problem.K&H was the 4th cat window perch I'd tried & the only brand that hasn't failed. I have 3 cats, so I'll likely get another. I love that they offer a couple of bright color options now too. This is the perfect gift for anyone with a cat.

I am really happy with this product. More importantly, my cat seems to love it. It took her a day or two to warm up to the pod, but now she is spending hours in it everyday.The pod has a hard but flexible shell that the cloth is wrapped around. The cloth on the outside is handsome enough and the stitching around it seems to be high quality. The inside is lined with a different, softer material. There is also a cushion that sits on the bottom of the pod. The four suction cups are large and do a great job of holding the pod up. I have had it up for a few weeks and it hasn't moved or come unstuck.There is plenty of room for my ten pound cat. She has an easy time getting in and out and can even manage to turn around inside of it. The afternoon sun can make the pod a little warm, but that doesn't seem to bother her too much.Just a reminder, be sure and check the measurements of the pod against the measurements of your window. Also, be aware that if the panes are on the inside of your window (making the surface uneven in places) this might effect the placement. I didn't have any problems, but these are a few things you should be aware of before you buy.

Pretty awful. Does not stick to the window. The pad on the inside is so easy to shred it’s pointless. The cats have torn it up already and it’s a hair magnet.The window suctions cannot hold and pop off all the time. It’s massive in size yet still has minimal size on the inside for the cat. Will only fit on large windows.Overall disappointed and it’s not a cheap product.

It took a little while (maybe a month) for my cats to trust getting into their new bed but they love it. Adds some privacy to my window too. I’ve seen people with this in their car window and their cats seem entirely content.
