This is an almost perfect pack. I can fit an extra shirt, reader, toiletries with room to spare. It's comfortable to wear and I like the security features. It's waterproof. The straps are a bit challenging to adjust and I wish I could slip the pack over my suitcase handle. I am encouraging my husband to buy one in the larger size.

I purchased this backpack for a trip to Germany and to use it as a carryon bag. It held a lot of needed things for the flight there and back. I used it every day in Germany during my hikes through Berlin and other cities and train rides. The straps are nice and thick, so they do not dig into your shoulders as you are carrying things. I was able to put 1.5 liters of water on either side of the bag and still was able to open the zippers with ease. Every day there was something new going into the backpack, whether it was museum books to freshly made pretzels the backpack held it all. After a few days of wearing it, I did not even notice it was on. There are side straps which you can extend the central slot of the backpack, and there are zipper locking rings to secure your valuables inside both pouches. After a while, I did find the locks annoying, but useful at the airports and during the flights.Once I returned I continued to use the backpack for college courses, I am a history major, so I carry a ton of books from one class to the other, and before you ask, most of the books I read do not have a Kindle option. The added security strength makes this backpack solid, and it still looks brand new. I would recommend this backpack for anyone who enjoys hiking or traveling or just taking it to class.

Love this bag! This is the second time purchasing this particular model (first died a slow death in the washing machine, make sure to read the label first!) and it is the ideal size, weight, capacity for travel or commuting. It is very light weight, comfortable shoulder straps, roomy enough for a 15" laptop, but not excessive for a 13" and has lots of pockets and safety features. My husband and I carry one while travelling and really appreciate the zipper locks, the strap lock - very easy to secure the bag to a chair or pole - and the side pockets (ideal for water bottles). Great for commuting - low key style and roomy enough to fit a laptop, small purse and lunch. Highly recommend.

I love this bag! I hate carrying a purse but tend to have alot of stuff to carry around and this bag is a great size. It's not huge and sometimes I still have to carry my lunch bag in hand if I put my shoes in the backpack but that's OK. But it's also not so small that I feel like I'm missing out on something. I really like being able to clip the zippers closed to slow down anyone who may want to try to open them behind me. The navy/grey./green combo is beautiful too. Worth the $$ for me!
