Hawke's Outdoor Survival Kit: Includes Survival Multi-Tool & Guide (RP Minis) Paperback – March 26, 2013

The author is a pro in more ways than one. He is a veteran SF warrior and did more than his fair share of work. Learned about from a interview in my NRA magazine. Yep libs THAT NRA, hopefully, while u are looking for a safe space, u didn't get triggered by my mention of the NRA. And if u did het your panties in a wad call somebody that cares. Better yet order Mr Hawkes guide. It fits in any pocket, weights nothing, it's as tuff as a Green Beret but not quite as tuff as a Cavalry Scout. On the pipe hitter scale Cav Scouts are ranked first with SF in a very close 2nd. Almost to close to call. And yes I'm very much joking. U don't get higher than SF operators on the pipe hitter scale. Although my M3A2 and later M3A3 did have a 25mm auto cannnon. But it's worth getting. I have a couple of them in my jeeps glove box in my wife's car, and in our go bags and my wife's medical bag. I have purchased two of these for my kids, both were 7 at the age they were given to them. The kits are very usable for kids this age, the magnifying glass can start fires, the signal light is very helpful at close range as a light, and does function well as a signalling device at distance. the mirror is a little small. Biggest complaint is that the oil leaked out of one of the compasses, and the compass doesn't work anymore because it can't move. The lanyard is a little long for the kids, but I shortened it up some with a knot, just make sure you don't make the loop big enough to get a head through. I would suggest a very hands on approach in instructing the kids to use it the first time. Learn how to use it yourself (especially the magnifying glass) and your kids will have no trouble using it by learning from you.I have two more little girls, and will be purchasing two more kits. The price is right, and the functionality makes this a practical accessory for when your family goes hiking, and the kids could find themselves in a situation that requires self rescue.

I expected better. It is essentially a toy and it is too short for my waterproof matches. It could have been good.

Cool little gaget, the led light pretty bright, seems decently made (for the price of course) but the book is super basic stuff and keeps referring to buy his bigger book lol

Great for new girl and boy scouts along with a head light. Helps parents that do not know what their kids will need on a camp out.

Very informative and useful life saving information. Great knowledge and a refresher course for those who have lived or hunted in the outdoors.

Plastic piece of junk. Entire product is a joke and resembles something you would get at the dollar store. Don't waste your money.

The compass does not work, probably because of the magnetic field generated by the button cell batteries. Everything else worked though and the survival guide is very good and its cheap.

Die Lupe ist billigster Schrott, der Kompass funktioniert nicht, der Behälter hält kein bisschen dicht und die Pfeiffe ist ebenfalls besch...Das kleine Buch setzt dem ganzen dann noch die Krone auf, war wirklich stinksauer! Bloß nicht bestellen!!!
