Yes. I have creation pro and works fine

Q: Will this hoop work on my Bernina?

I don't know, It works great on my Viking. Don't have any idea about Bernina.

Q: Does this hoop work with the Designer SE?

I am not sure. I have the Husqvarna Viking topaz 30 and it works fine.

Q: Has anyone used this hoop with a normal sewing machine? I’m doing simple zig zag satin stitches around appliqué, and need some tension.

I have not used my hoop yet - machine is in the shop. The hoop needs to be attached to something if you are using it on a sewing machine. I would try it on a sample, slower speed and one hand standing by. Other possibility check the internet sewing sites on needing more tension. Good luck.
