Works ok with prime focus dishes.
I got this to upgrade a 15 year old .5 db LNB (200 bucks, at the time) on an older prime focus dish. I had to fabricate a mount to hold it in place at the focal point of the older dish. I got a decent signal on G-19, but not as good as the older LNB. I am using it because it provides voltage activated H to V polarization switching that the older LNB did not, so I receive more channels without going outdoors to manually twist the feedhorn mount. :) I am happy that it works as well as it does, as I suspect that it was designed to work with the newer offset feed dishes, and likely does not properly illuminate a prime focus dish.

Outstanding LNB and price!
I am using this with an X2 receiver and a Wineguard dish and I couldn't be happier! I was a bit worried because it was so low priced, but mine really works great! I will definitely be sticking with X2 in the future because of quality and price. This is a case where you get more than you pay for. (At least I feel that way.) There are probably some higher quality products out there in terms of durability, but my setup seems more than durable enough, especially for what I paid! You could probably pay a lot more and get something that might outlast X2 products, but why would you? You have to factor in price and quality when you make comparisons. (Consumer Reports certainly does.) If I pay triple for an item that is only going to last a few more months, then it's not worth the difference in price! I really have no reason right now not to think that my X2 products won't last me several years! For the price, if they last a year or two I will feel like I am still ahead. You will pay around $70 or $80 for cable TV. You could buy an X2 receiver and LNB every month and still be a few dollars under a typical cable bill. Just try it! You will like it!
