This petticoat is perfect under a thin wedding dress and is not heavy or bulky at all. It gives the dress just the right amount of volume and flare without being over the top. The petticoat does fit somewhat small though as I ordered what my size was from my seamstress and the measurements we have been using all along through the wedding process. My advice here would be to go one extra size bigger and have it tailored if needed or order one with an elastic waist in the right size so you have that little extra to make it fit and be comfortable.
