I couldn't put it down. So good! Great historical fiction!

My granddaughter loves these books. Keeps her intrigued and gives actual facts.

My preteen son really enjoys this series. If you liked the I survived series of books you will enjoy these also!

It was good but not great.

My husband grew up close to Donner so he knew this story well. I found it very interesting to hear this from him and visit the area many years ago. My kids had just visited the Donner museum over Thanksgiving break and my 10 year old loves the "Who Was" series and these "I Survived or Escaped" books. My 9 year also reads them.

I love the adventure in the story and its also real! I would like a lot of people to read this!That review above is from my 10 year old son. A good testament to the book!

While the “Donner Party” is a very disturbing topic from US history, I feel this book gently writes through the gory bits but keeps relevant to the suffering of those on Oregon Trail which makes this very suitable for young readers.

114 pages of excitement, horror, and tragedy, all rolled into one. as i read the book i was drawn into the story, and it was as if i was there.a must read.

This held my attention throughout this story. What each of them went through just to survive can teach people to keep going no matter how impossible things look. These people kept persevering through so many roadblocks. I had never heard of this and I am so glad I took the time to read it. I would HIGHLY recommend this book.

This is a very good historical fiction book!The book is very well written and is keeping you busy in wanting more to read find out what happens next. This book is a must have in your library of you love fiction, especially historical fiction. Highly recommended
