STANLEYLevel, Magnetic Torpedo, 8-Inch (42-291)

I bought this level to replace one that I lost when we moved to our new house. I use this mainly for hanging pictures and small projects around the house. I like that it has a magnet so I can keep it on the side of the fridge when I'm not using it and it's easy to find. Works great for my uses around the house and I love having little tools like this at my disposal when needed. I need to get a larger one for my workshop for larger projects but this does a great job for what it was intended for.

What is it about that tiny bubble in the neon water that is so interesting? So....balanced and soothing when reaching it's zenith: the center of the glass ampule? Well you can achieve that feeling everytime you use this level! It seems well made, and is a great little plastic tool for someone like me, living in my over priced apartment hanging framed photos of Freddy Kreuger. The magnet on the botton is strong enough to either line with nails so they are all on the same plane OR to stick under something metal while you adjust it.

I liked this tool a lot until I chewed it up with my hole saw. It worked great, was light and handy to carry. The magnetic base was a great feature. Keep it away from your hole saw and you'll be fine. I'm going to buy another.

The level is great for the primary function of indicating level, it checks out against several others that I have. Reads the same in either direction, so it is well balanced and not biased to one side. I haven't checked the 45° portion, but the horizontal and vertical are good.The only negative I have found is that the magnet is very weak. It is barely strong enough to hold up the level on sheet metal (stove, side of my cabinet toolbox). It will fall off if you bump the object or tap it with a hammer to adjust the level before tightening the screw.

This is lightweight, small, and easy to use. I was able to hold it with one hand. I was able to balance on top of some of the items I was hanging, which made it easy to get them level.

Three stars because product will show level. Magnets are NOT strong. Barely hold. Plastic casing is cheap. Bought for shop employees to use for quick bench type level checks, but they go back to the old empire mag level. You get whatYou pay for.

Why bother with an old big and clunky level when this does the job just as well? Works as expected and my husband loves it!

I got this to hang pictures. It doesn't take a lot of space in my tool drawer. I turned it all 4 ways, and it was accurate.

I needed a short level for a specific job, and this one performed well. Great price, too! I didn't test the magnet's ability to hold it to a metal surface, so I have no comment on that aspect of it.

Muy útil que tenga un imán de un lado para colocarse en superficie metálica, y del otro lado especial para superficies curvas. Buen precio-beneficio

Muy ligero y adecuado para el trabajo. El acabado del material no es de muy buena apariencia.

El imán llegó en perfecto estado. Cuenta con 3 gotas de nivel y de un lado tiene superficie de imán.
