Don’t believe the hype
I finally got around to setting up this PS4 fight stick board. I have two cheap USB zero delay decoders I use for a pi arcade and they work fine for that. But I wanted to be able to use for my PS4 so I bought this as everyone says to buy Brooks. Well this version was obviously not very good and why they felt the need on the next version to do solderless connections. The wiring diagram from the Brooks website for this board was not clear and why did it have me solder the usb cord ground to the select button ground? Whatever, I did the best I could to set up and after a mess of wires everywhere and having to connect up to 9 wires to a single ground and then because I did not use Santa another four to a single ground, I had it ready to go. Or so I thought. Plugged in my PS4 but the home button would not turn it on so I used a wireless controller to turn on. It booted up and I tried the home button on my stick again. It worked and the player one led lit. I thought I was good to go and ready to try Street Fighter V. Nope, the joystick was inverted. Which was confusing because I wired the up to the micro switch that was pressed when the joystick moves up. Fine I could switch that easy enough, except the down was not working at all. I checked my contacts and solders before and the meter I used for continuity tested showed that all was good to go and that I did not have any short circuits or otherwise bad solders. Which is a surprise for how small this board and holes were. The board seems to be faulty and there is nothing I can do about it because it is now all soldered up. This did not work for me and now I’m out the money spent on it and still don’t have a fight stick for my PS4. Will never buy Brooks again from my experience it is better to avoid the DIY problems of poor diagrams and faulty boards. If I do hook a stick to my PS4 it will be a ready to go out of the box that I will upgrade the joysticks and buttons on. This has been nothing but a headache.

Not the easiest solder board
I put one in an old xbox360 hori rap N. Bc I'm a ps player and play alot of tekken I soldered it in and it worked gr8 had to add buttons in the back for share and ps home button and I got a plexiglass from focusattack that covered the old xbox menu button section and the last two button holes to make my stick a 6 button layout so I am very happy with this mod and I'm receivin another one tomorrow and hope that I don't have to do the update to it like the last one but if I do I hope it's easy. Update got my second set and put it in my home made arcade cab that runs ps4 and pc. Went in no problems and again didn't have to update it and it worked out the box. I love these little boards

fantastic! This is a great PCB for DIYers who ...
The product arrived as and when expected. I used this to create my own hitbox that would be compatible with both the PC and PS4. I have yet to buy a PS4, so I cannot speak to its performance there. Its performance with the PC is, however, fantastic! This is a great PCB for DIYers who knows their way around a soldering iron...even beginners with a soldering iron should be fine too. I recommend using 22g solid wires...but if you have threaded wires, that's fine too. The wiring diagram shows different grounds for each of the switches, but really...they're all the same ground. You can wire up all the buttons and directional keys to the same ground if you wanted. It's very responsive and as far as I can tell, there's no latency other than the lag built into games....*cough Street Fighter V and Tekken 7 cough*. Make sure to apply flux to the solder points and you're good to go. I'll revise my rating up or down depending on how well it does on the PS4 when I'm able to try it on one.

It works great
If you are a diy person, I recommend you review properly how to solider because the spaces are very small. Apart from that it works perfect, expensive but perfect

Great price, and does what it says on the box.
With about 30 minutes, a soldering iron, solder and FLUX... (please use flux) You can make any old joystick PS3/PS4 compatible. Of course depending on how old the joystick is, you may need to add at least one more button for the PS/guide.
