There are short wires from control box About 4’ if I remember correctly

I'm not sure if you're talking about a replacement of the original equipment or if you want to add an aftermarket control box, but I wouldn't see why not... It's not part of the actual motor of the winch but an accessory to the winch. Hope this helps.
