Sturdy but difficult to assemble
Mirror and shiny base had smeary marks. which made me think the seller didn't care much about this product, thus only 4 stars. Windex made the mirror and base look like new which is what I had expected to see.Must be assembled by an adult or a resourceful teen.To fully seat the 4 corners posts I had to lightly tap them in place with a hammer over a folded cloth to protect the chrome. Would be very difficult to ever disassemble. If all four posts are not fully seated, the balls will will not strike each other in alignment.Once assembled properly this Newton's Cradle is rock steady. The tall side posts and sturdy wooden base provide for really good clickity-clack action.Would buy this item again.

Good quality
I looked at a lot of reviews and settled on this one. It was the big gift my child wanted for his birthday. It was a little bit difficult for me to set up- my husband had to push the poles in. The quality is fine, the bowls and wire is good but the two signs do tilt towards the middle for us. I think it could be engineered better, perhaps with bigger holes and rubber at the ends of the poles to stick into the holes for a good snug fit. If it breaks a few months from now, I would probably re-order this one again.

Good for the value paid
It was a gift to my husband for his new office. Although he loved it, I have to give 1 star less because the poles were a bit loose. The poles didn’t fit right into the corner holes, the heavy balls keep pulling the poles to the center and have to be readjusted constantly. Overall a good value for the money.

Nice, but needs structural help.
I liked the individual aspects of the product, however, the metal frame needs a sturdier connection. The frame does not snap securely into the base, so it folds inward as the metal balls move. I cut a drinking straw to act as a spacer between the horizontal frame top to keep it from folding. Disappointing for the price.

He loves it and I guess I'm happy. Eventually the strings straightened
The strings came a bit bent, and the balls arent as heavy duty as I expected they would be. For example, when you pull one ball out to swing into the rest, they sort of all move. My son decided he was obsessed with Isaac Newton and wanted the cradle for Christmas so I bought a cheaper one because I wasn't sure how long his obsession would last. He loves it and I guess I'm happy. Eventually the strings straightened.

Motion doesn’t last very long
I have used similar products in the past and the balls seem to click back and forth for much longer. Perhaps those were significantly more $? This works and clicks back and forth a few times before coming to an abrupt end.If you are ordering this for a kid, it’s probably fine because they are just going to tangle to strings. But, if you want a cool, high end desk accessory, I don’t think I would purchase this again because the motion is not all that dramatic.

Pretty good
I didn't like how when I dropped it and the strings got tangled together
