Daddy from heaven is real and has real life dilemmas!
Before sunrise, they will be together again. Boy, what a story! It is a heart wrenching story of an American hero giving his all to his country as a POW for 5 yrs to come home to find people are conniving and scheming to keep he and his family apart because of petty jealousy, angor and power. They, Liam and Kennedy had to work through the differences that happened to each other in those years of being apart. Kennedy was convinced that Liam was still alive but let friends and family, especially Phill convince her to move on with her life. Liam had to adjust to the fact that Kay had moved on with Phill but he was determined not to lose her despite that. He also had to learn how to become a father to his baby, now a 4 yrs old McKenzie. Liam coming home was a God send for Kennedy and she was also equally determined to reunite with her husband. She had to deal with the quilt she felt over Phill and that fact that she was reluctantly planning on a family with him. Both she and Liam had to battle their way back to each other despite the scheming between Alexa, Phill and her mother Gail trying to keep them apart and destroying any hope they have of a reunion. Sienna wrote such a heart wrenching story about this couple. I actually wanted to slap the you know what out of Alexa and Phill.I can half way inderstand Gail's resetment toward Liam but he was the love of her daughter's life. I really felt sorry for Phill, but Kennedy was honest with him from the beginning, she loved him but was not in love with him. He knew that the only reason she married him was to give Mac a stable home and for her gratitude that he was there through her grieving Liam's death. He was just desperate to hold on to what he was able to build with Kennedy. There were twist and turns to this story plot that had my stomach in knots just hoping they would get their HEA. Well done Sienna as always.

The story needed more
I'm a big fan of the author. I liked the story but it needed more. I mean Kennedy was really weak. Who marries their supposedly dead husbands enemy whom she didn't even love herself??!!! I understand she went through a traumatic experience but it wasn't like she didn't have the support of a good family. A lot of people don't have that. She could have chosen to be a single mom with the support of her family and friends before agreeing to marry Phil. It was already so much hurt so why add more to it.Liam had a lot to get through as well. He needed mental, spiritual, and physical health and more. I'm glad they ended up together and it all worked out but I was disappointed in some of the character's characteristics and definitely thought Kennedy could have and should have been portrayed a lot stronger!!Usually I finish books in no time but I lost interest in all the back and forth and Kennedy just got under my skin too much!!!

Loved it!!!
“This was such a good book” is what i said when i read the final sentence in the epilogue. And it really was!!! So thankful it was recommended for me to read. It gave me a new found appreciation for our service men and women and their loved ones who support and love them.Such a good read. The story itself was multi-layered and dynamic. It was never predictable. The characters where whole people and easy to engage with. The story telling was marvelous and even the side characters were great. Liam, oh Liam, i really wanted to give hm a hug and some therapy. Kennedy, oh what drama, girl. She needed a vacation from her life in the biggest way. Phil, Alexa/the government could all jump off a cliff. Harper, you go girl. Eric, *eye rolls*, you’re not R. Kelly, it’s okay dude. The author gets a standing ovation from me on this one. As this is the first novel I’ve read from this author I hope her other work stands up to this one. I’ll definitely be checking it out.

"Sweet Romance"...yeah right!!
Title says it's a "Sweet Military Romance", but I didn't find much "sweetness" anywhere in this tale. This sat in my Library for months as I have a tendency to purchase book after book but take the time to read the newer purchases while letting older ones just sit.😊Before Sunrise is one depressing gritty bleak tortuous read, well at least for me. But it grabbed my attention and held it from start to finish.Kennedy & Liam were a couple that should not have been. She was too young and there was just so much pain, ugliness and one mistake after another made by everyone for years. But the H & H fight to get past it and rise up out of the cluster..to fix broken souls, hearts and erase some of those dumb mistakes. There's an amazing portrayal of Special Ops/Covert Military missions..the danger, camaraderie and the politics involved. Liams "brothers" Vasquez and Eric are the real deal and all of the supporting characters make for an interesting tale that kept me glued despite my frustrations with so much asinine behavior. It's a Hodge-podge of trauma, grief, lies, manipulations, immaturity, betrayal, mental-health, forgiveness, healing and love. Oh..And way too heavy handed on the sex scenes. But the stars do come out and there is a hopeful HEA, it's just one rough road to get there. Whew...😏

Want to love it...really do...
UPDATE: I finally finished it. The story line was good but the execution was lacking. Ms Mynx, contact me if you need a beta reader! I don't think your editors are doing your stories justice!Ok, so I have to admit I'm only 26% into this book and already my frustration is growing with the lack of consistency with time (and grammar issues aside). Did anyone else notice this? I don't mean to be so picky about it but I hate having had to pay $6 for a book that is not properly edited. Kennedy and Liam are expecting a baby at the beginning of the novel and the date is September 2001. He gets deployed right after the September 11 attacks. Flashback to when she is 17 years old and the year is 2004. Dis-moi quoi? Now another flashback to when she's a teenager and the date is 1994. I'm loving the premise of this story and Ms Mynx has talent (I've read two of her Destino books) but this is frustrating. I will return with a more complete review when I have finished but I don't know how much of these weird time jumps and grammar problems I can stand.

STUNNING read
Sienna Mynx always delights me with her talent! I absolutely LOVE Before Sunrise, got so engrossed in it, I just didn't want it to end. Liam and Kennedy's story was very skilfully put together, as beautiful as it was sweet and as heartbreaking. At first I was a little disappointed that we weren't privy to the back story of Liam presumably being killed at war, Kennedy receiving the news and her coping through it all up to the point of getting together with Phil. The way Ms Mynx has put it all together though, you get all of that as she weaves through thoughts, conversations and flashbacks. All this without losing the continuity and synergy; calls for a great deal of skill, which Ms Mynx has in buckets. This story took me through many emotions, and all the time my heart was in my throat, really rooting for Liam and Kennedy. But the odds were really stacked against them with evil forces in the shape of Gail, Phil, the military she-devil working against them etc- a real emotional roller coaster, as if Liam and Kennedy hadn't already been through enough. I just loved them together, and the fact that their love was unmistakable and unshaken, added to it. I'm glad everything worked out in the end, including the situation with Phil and Gail. Never have I thought a couple was more deserving of a HEA.The sub-plot playing out between Eric and Harper was a nice addition, too! I LOVED this book and thought it was more than good value for money, a nice length too. Really I could go on singing its praises all day! Brava, Ms Mynx!

3·5 Star Rating
Near the ending of this storyline became unbelievable to me, only because I am a conspiracy theorists, for over seven years, now, so with the knowledge of whistle-blowers they normally are unknown or have to be on the run under the grid for years if not for their entire life or speak on their experiences at the end of their life (near to death). So what Kennedy did to get her husband Liam back to her, seemed unrealistic as she and Liam would of got them both killed or missing. But I also understand this is a Romance book with HEA story, that's for the reason this story had to play out this way, but it did leave me feeling; with raised eyebrows and (really!), o......k. Also there were small editing mistake, which is very unusual for Sienna Mynx, but nothing to serious that would put you off enjoying the story, plots or characters in this book. I did not really like Kennedy as she seemed very needy even after her growth away from Liam for the five years apart, I really didn't see the independent, self-reliance, free thinking woman in Kennedy, she seemed to live, only for Liam, and the things she disagreed with Liam about, seemed immature about, on the other hand Liam seemed to be more a grown up, with him compromising his wants and desire then Kennedy, the importance of xmass, and showing off, as being united as a family, seemed very unrealistic, naive and she came across at times as a very self-centred, selfish little girl, not a woman who was made to grow up, resilient with pain and understanding of the predicament that her husband, Liam's been thru. Sienna Mynx is still one of my favourite authors and I would recommend this book! To my friends, family and anyone else who needed to read a contemporary book.

Fabulous!!!!!!
I have given this book five stars as it was well written. The twists and turns just kept me captivated. It allowed the reader to have a little insight in how PTSD and the effects it has on people. All the characters intertwined beautifully. Liam was so strong yet vulnerable. He finally accepted he needed help and we all went on the journey with him. Great writing Sienna. It would be good to have a follow on book about Eric and Harper.

Fantastic Military reading
Well Ms Mynx she has certainly done it again! How does she come up with these stories, whatever it is, her research is excellent and spot on for telling a tale. I couldn't put the book down, had to turn to the next page. So bad I didn't put the book down until 4am. Liam's story is no doubt a realitiy for all our solidiers who go to war so the tale there is not fiction so it was well researched and cleverly executed in this story. The love relationship with Liam and Kennedy (Kay) is very touching and hopeful that true love never dies. Kay tried to move on with her life when she heard that 'her' Liam was KIA, but her heart knew differently, but for her child she took a new step forward. Liam fought for his life and family on his return and he won her back from his supposed enemy Paul... I felt sorry for Paul in that his love for Kennedy wasn't as deep but he showed his caring for her and Mac, in the end he handed her over to her true heart. Brilliant story and can't wait for the next Sienna Mynx installment, whatever the story.
