Maybe better for a visual aid rather than a "hands on" teaching aid
Part of the front faceplate cracked on first attempt of gently rocking the TPXA-7 (Southord pick) back and forth. It's still somewhat functional but--damage is permanent. If you don't mind a wait Ebay also sells these for a few dollars cheaper. Lockpicks.com has some more expensive training aids but I'm sure they would last longer. Fortunately when mine cracked, it didn't shoot the pins everywhere so i can still use it as a visual aid.

Flimsy and cheap
The cheap price and transparency drew me in, but this is not a good tool for practice. It is much too flimsy and the central rotating component wobbles around. I would highly recommend that you buy an actual lock on which to practice.

I got the lock so I could practice single pin picking a tubular lock and try to gain a better understanding of how it worked
First off the case this thing is delivered in probably cost more than lock itself, If I ever break the lock I'm definitely keeping the case around. I got the lock so I could practice single pin picking a tubular lock and try to gain a better understanding of how it worked. I think it will help me figure out everything I wanted it to.

You will be impressed .
Egoelife very promptly fixed an issue I had. I will gladly buy from them in the near future!! Their items are great for showing how cylinder locks work. If you're interested in being a locksmith or repair locks at home, buy Egoelife's transparent lock systems.

Keep walkin' and keep your money.
This item will not work even with the supposedly matched key that it came with. It is cheaply made and not worth the money.Keep walkin' and keep your money.
