Invisible Girl

Not as good as her earlier work.
I've read almost all her novels but this one didn't live up to my expectations. Her other work is way better. But if you're looking for a quick read and some entertainment then this book is ok I guess...

Fine
Well written but not a page-turner thriller, that I had expected.

Read it if you love Lisa Jewell
There are three main characters here, Owen, Saffyre and Cate, and only Saffyre was written in first person POV. Although the story proved to be fast-paced but lacked originality. The story takes place in Hampstead where a number of sexual assault have recently taken place. Cate, a new resident in the area, worries about the safety of her daughter Georgia after she’s followed in her way home one day. The next day, Georgia’s friend Tilly claims that she was assaulted while returning home but late on, she retracts her statement. Then there’s Owen, a 30-something year old man in lives in the same neighbourhood as Cate, who’s been suspended from his job after complaints of inappropriate behaviour from his students. His suspension causes him to spiral which leads him to dark and unfortunate path.Saffyre is a teenage girl who’s at the center of the story. She was receiving therapy from Cate’s husband, Roan. Even after their sessions have ended, Saffyre couldn’t help but follow around Roan, but soon she goes missing. Owen is arrested as the main suspect.I love reading Saffyre’s POV as I connected with her. The writing was the only saving grace of the book. Overall, it wasn’t a complex, super engaging thriller like I had hoped for but it does hold some promise because of its writing and some perspectives.

Average mystery.. gets predictable towrads the end
How great it would be if you could just blend in the crowd and become invisible, do what you like unnoticed, but along with it comes a risk. This is what was being explored by SaffyreDo read this book for the following points- for a strong story where every character has a dark side, hidden secrets that you can't wait to be revealed.- nice mystery and suspense that doesn't have any trigger warnings and is easy to read.- to know how social issues like rape fantasies, childhood trauma, hidden identites, misfits should be handled.-flawless plot where you don't know how the book will end till the end ( rare in these times specially if you read a lot)-insights into the human mind that will make you think a lot for days afterwards.
