This is an excellent series π
This is book #6 of what is now an excellent 9 episode series. A series that gets better and better!DI John Tanner and Christine are finding their fledgling relationship tough going. That's made trickier as a young girl is murdered on a cabin cruiser and other deaths follow....If you liked previous books in the series, you'll enjoy this one too πππ

Marvellous book
Tanned once again caused chaos in his love life. Will he ever get it right suppose we will have to read the next instalment. Let's enjoy the ride together.

A fairly quick read.
Difficult to like Tanner so this makes the read less enjoyable. I did get through the book quickly and as I've read the others will probably still read the next. I feel the author needs to make use of a thesaurus more. The smirking had me squirming by half way through.

Errors spoil the story
I've read the entire series. While not exactly high brow fiction, it is a good, easy read to pass away the time set in an area that is different to the usual city centre location for Police procedural books. I'm only half way through at the moment, so can't comment on how the story evolves. What does irritate me, though, are the errors that have crept in. Two that particularly jar:"First Degree Murder" : Unless the law in Norfolk is different to the rest of England, we have Murder, or Manslaughter. There are no degrees of Murder, so it is very unlikely that a senior and experienced detective would find himself using American terminology. I'm anticipating Danno to appear so our hero can tell him to "Book him, Danno - Murder One"Similarly, getting involved in a traffic incident, our Hero accuses the other driver of "Driving with undue care and attention". Does he mean being too careful? Or does he mean "Driving WITHOUT due care and attention". In any case, the proper definition is "Careless driving without due care and attention".Only minor details, but they do detract from a good story so far and suggest the lack of a good editor and an attempt to get the book from first draft to publication as quickly as possible.
