great bowls, annoying sticker
I use these bowls when preparing meals, to put cut up vegetables or whatever in them as I'm getting everything ready to cook. Mise en place, I believe it's called. The bowls work great and I have a several in different sizes, 1qt and 1.5qt. Dishwasher safe, easy to clean. The bottom is just a smooth metal so they can slide, but that's not really a complaint. My only complaint is the sticker that was on the bottom when they arrived - it is very difficult to remove and I still have some stickiness from the adhesive on the bottom of the bowls even after several washings.

Smaller Than Advertised
Purchases the 1-quart bowl. When it arrived, it was smaller than expected. Using a measuring cup, I measured its actual volume. It does not hold 1 quart (4 cups) of water, but just under 3 cups when filled to the brim.

Ordered a 1 Quart Bowl, Received a Bowl Labeled "1 Quart", But the Bowl is Tiny; It Actually Holds Only 23 oz. BIZARRE!
I ordered one of these "one quart" bowls via Amazon two days ago, to replace a one quart plastic bowl that had gotten very stained; that older plastic bowl holds exactly one quart (32 oz.) when filled to the brim. The new bowl arrived today, and as soon as I opened the package, I noticed that the new bowl was nowhere near one quart in volume; it appeared to be one half the size of the old plastic bowl that it was intended to replace. So, being a scientist and an engineer, I took it into the kitchen and performed an incredibly exacting technical task: I measured its volume using a measuring cup, and it turned out that this little "one quart" bowl holds a bit over 23 ounces before overflowing. Thus, it is a 1.35 pint capacity bowl, and not a 1 quart bowl! Yet, when I check the label on the bottom of this bowl, it clearly reads "1 QUART", and my Amazon order page confirms that I ordered a one quart bowl!I would rate this product zero stars if I could!Unfortunately, it is simply not worth the effort, time and hassle of returning it to Amazon. I will keep it and use it for a different application, and I will scrupulously avoid patronizing this manufacturer/seller for the rest of my life on Amazon!

Perfect for Scrambling Eggs
I wanted a metal bowl small enough to hold in one hand while I whisk with the other for faster food prep time. This turned out to be perfect size for my small hands to hold but deep enough to scramble 5 large eggs (maybe capacity for more but I never tried it). Cleans up in a snap too! Very happy with my purchase.
